    John 11:35

    Jesus wept.

How profound is this? Jesus wept. To to express grief, sorrow, or any overpowering emotion by shedding tears; If you have not read the story behind Jesus weeping, then may I recommend you go to John 11.

It helps to remember when you weep, that Jesus knows what you are going through. The human pain of the loss over his friendLazarusmade him weep even though He knew he was going to raise him up. Jesus was so full of emotion when He reached Mary and Martha and the mourning group, He just had to weep. Just to know our God cries should be enough for us to cling to him when tears fall like rain drops when we hurt in someway.

Most mornings I spend quietly with the Lord, listening to worship instrumentals, just silently drinking in the wordless music, yet I know the words, and silently sing with them. Many mornings I weep before the lord, the tears fall like a steady rain, they are unpredictable. My weeping maybe just a few moments or many moments where my whole body is involved. Sometimes in a church service, there will be a song I just love, yet, it touches me so deeply that I can not make it through without tears welling up in my eyes, it is then, I just stand and listen to the song, drinking in His presence.

God created us with all these emotions. Thank for a moment all the emotions you have at your disposal and how they come into your every day life. Anger, fear, happiness and sadness–. You can cry under any of these circumstances.

If you are undergoing a painful life, no matter how much you believe, no matter how much faith you have, no matter how well you know your bible, your pain will encompass you on days that no matter what you know, it will not be enough to get you through, yet, our God knows what we are going through and it is there that His loving arms are wrapped around you until you get through that time.

    John 16:33

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

Nothing you go through is unnoticed by God, nothing! You know at the core of you, no matter what you are going through, that God has you, is with you, and will never leave you nor forsake you. You can not get a way from God.

Some people never experience a place of deep suffering with many trials. Some only experience a loss of a loved one, not belittling that experience at all for that in it self is huge especially when it is the loss of a child, but imagine such a storm raging that it wipes out your entire family. It is said that God will give us no more than we can handle yet, that does not seem to be written in Scripture, unless I just cant find it. But I do know that each our sufferings, although different, are the same in some way.

    Luke 22: 41-45

41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

Although it does not say it in these above scriptures, if you read it closely, all of Jesus human emotions are in these few lines. How do you sweat great drops of blood unless you are terribly afraid. It does not say it, but I can almost see the tears falling from Jesus face as He prays to his father. But God wanting to comfort His son, sends an angel to comfort Him, strengthening him so he can continue.

Jesus had to go through the valley of the shadow of death, there was no choice in his situation. We too face these times in our lives, but we must pass through them, we are on a journey in which most times are not visible to us, yet we have to keep moving forward.

It is hard to wait as God unfolds His plan for your life, scripture after scripture tells us that God has a plan. In the very end, you and I will spend eternity with Him in heaven . That is comforting to know in the days of your suffering, yet, it is in the now that you need those comforting words to get you through this valley of death that you are in.

As the ends times approach, as the Lord prepares Himself to come back for us there is great tribulation amongst Gods people. There is much disease today, there is much job loss, the weather has a factor as it is shown in the melting of the polar icecaps, the earth itself rises up in rebellion with earthquakes and erupting volcanoes taking with it whole islands. All these things and more can be seen in Revelation as the end of the time draws near. These are not fluffy bunnies and kittens times, these are violent and desperate times. All our lives are at stake, some will lose there spouses, some their children, some whole families. How do we endure such times as these if we do not rely on and rest in the arms of the God who created us. God did not spare His only son from from suffering and death, and although God has the power to spare us from these horrific times, there are lessons for us He needs for us to learn even unto death.

    Galatians 6:2

2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

As all of our journeys are leading to heaven, we must all reach out to one another in someway and help them with their burdens. We are all on this same journey. Some of us are sickly, so let the well help the sick in someway. Maybe you have a walker or a set of crutches they can use. Maybe you have one of those seats for the tub so they can sit in the shower as they recover from surgery. If you can help out physically, then reach out in some way, like maybe there grass needs to be cut, I know it is more work, but in doing so you not only please God by your act of kindness, you help to unburden your brother or sister in Christ. Maybe they need a meal sent over, maybe they need you to take their garbage out on a daily basis or take their trash to the curb on trash day. We all need encouragement, we all need hope to keep going. Some of us have lost their joy as their journey has been so deep. We need to lift each other up in someway no matter what we ourselves are going through. Please do not be offended if you have been and are helping others around you already, my hope is to encourage others to help others. Did you know that prayer is the greatest gift you could give someone one? When you remember others on a regular basis in prayer, you give your love to others as Jesus would have you to do. We, God's kids are all over this world, but who is in your little corner? Who is within reach of your love and help? Is it your physical neighbor? Is it a person you pass by daily that you know lives down the street? Is it a person you interact with on line? Is it someone you have connected with in your church? Bloom where you are planted. Maybe the cashier at your local grocery store needs an encouraging word from you. There is a circle of life here, right in our little corner. If God lays someone on your heart then take action on that persons behalf. Do not look for anything in return, give because you feel led to do so. God will return your kindness to others in someway, at sometime, in His way. Give and it will be given, although an immediate return is not a guarantee. God loves us unconditionally. He gives to us because He loves us. He answers our prayers because he loves us. If we love God, we will want to be more like Him. God brings others into our lives for a season, and for a reason. This does not mean that they will be in our lives forever. They may sweep in and help for a short time, then, just as quickly as they appeared, they disappear. If you feel God nudging you to help someone in someway then do so. Do you realize that even a smile in someones direction can give that person the hope they need to continue on?.

We no longer live in a time where we see our neighbor over the fence so to speak. We have to put our cell phones down, and lay aside our ipads and look for those in need of the touch of the Masters hand. We have only one chance in this life, we only have one life to live. Can others see Jesus in us? One act of kindness can go a long way. When I give to others, I give because I love others, because I know and understand what it is like to hurt, to be without, to undergo tragedy. The Lord has had me on a journey that I can connect with many peoples on many levels. If we are to be like Jesus, then we have to take a closer look into what Jesus really did, whom did he really connect with, and how did He help others.

Oh to be more like Jesus! Does your life really reflect Him? Can others see Him in you? We just can't sing it, oh to be more like Jesus, we just can't read the words. When you love someone you live with for along time you are so closely knit together that you become one with that person. We need to become one with the one who took our place and died to set us free. No one loves us as God loves us, we “OWE” Him our lives.

That was a beautiful post, Leslie, thank you! Yes, I do believe that God sees and feels with us all of our joy, sorrow, and pain, too. He is with us each moment and makes each moment better for it <3.
