Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, "Don't fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel." An Open Door

  • Let's therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 WEB

Direct access to God was very limited before Jesus came. There was a thick curtain in the temple that separated the common people from the Holy of Holies, where God's presence dwelt. Only the high priest was allowed to visit this room, once a year, on the day of atonement.

Right before Jesus died on the cross, He said 'It is finished' and the curtain that separated the people from God was torn from the top to the bottom, opening the way for us to come directly into His presence (Matthew 27:51). His door is now wide open, and we are welcome.

Our heavenly Father has made a way for us to come to Him boldly and tell Him anything on our heart, knowing that He only has our best interests in mind. He will not be surprised or shocked at what you tell Him. He will not get angry. In fact there is nothing that you can tell Him that He does not already know, but talking with Him will set you free and take a burden off of your own shoulders.

Come boldly to the Lord in prayer and talk to Him as you would your best friend. Pray about everything. We often do not have, because we do not ask Him. Develop that close relationship. Pay the price, it is worth it. Dig deeper, there are good things hidden there. Involve God in your everyday life and include Him in your decisions with 'Not my will, but Yours, be done.' He has opened His door, and we should use it.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for opening Your door and welcoming us. I come to meet You today. Please work Your will in my life. Lead me, and I will follow You. Speak to me in a way that I understand and let me see the world through Your eyes. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Heavenly Father let Your will not mine be done in every decision I make today. Lead us to follow Your designs when we talk to You, that Your grace and love be manifested in every situation. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Amen and PTL !!!  Praise His name, He made it possibly that we can come directly to Him knowing that He hears us !!! We don't need a "Go-in-between" or a priest to offer up continual sacrifices for us because Jesus did it all and once for all, thank you my Lord and Savior !!!
