Then Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land. Yahweh's word came to Jonah the second time, saying, "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you." So Jonah arose, and went to Nineveh, according to Yahweh's word. Jonah 2:9–3:3 WEB.
The word of the Lord came to Jonah and told him to go to Nineveh. Now Jonah knew Who was speaking and that he should go. Yet, he did the opposite. Jonah ran as far away from God's will as he could get. Problems soon followed him as a storm overtook him. Jonah found himself sitting at the bottom of the sea in a custom-made fish.
When he was almost dead with nothing else to live for, Jonah began to pray. God heard his prayer, and Jonah was released from his captivity. Then, the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time. It was the same word again, "Arise, go to Nineveh, and preach to it the message that I give you." This time, Jonah arose, went to Nineveh, and preached the Lord's message.
There have been times in my life when I knew what to do. Yet, like Jonah, I did the exact opposite. You can call it weakness or whatever you like. I sometimes call it "educational" because I know where that road goes. I have already been there and done that.
Whenever you choose disobedience, problems will soon follow, but it's never too late to turn it around. It starts with a simple prayer. Can someone know God, know what He wants, yet choose the opposite? Jonah did. If they turn back to God and pray, will He restore them? God restored Jonah, and the exact instructions came a second time. Jonah got his life back on track.
It's never too late to stop and pray. The thief on the cross had minutes left after living a life of crime, but the Lord saved him. The heavy burden on your shoulders can be lifted, and the peace and joy will return.
No matter how bad you have been, you can be forgiven. No matter how far you have fallen, you can be restored. No matter how lost you are, you can be found. No matter what holds you captive, you can go free.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the things I have done wrong. I turn to You today and want Your will to be done in my life. Help me see my life through Your eyes and the plan You have for me clearly. Give me the grace to resist temptation and reach my greatest potential in You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Hello everyone, we're excited to introduce our new Audio Library! This is the page where you will now be able to find audio recordings of the entire Sunday service each week, plus our original music and Bible studies! We hope that you are blessed by them and please let us know if you see any issues :). As always, if you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network. If you are interested in joining the prayer team, here is how to get started Prayer Partners.
Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

What a blessing, Pastor Dion! The audio library page is easy to navigate and I truly appreciate the pop-out player, as I have many tabs open during my computer sessions and this allows me to keep the music flowing. Well done! 😊🎶

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
