Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of Yahweh, and spread it before Yahweh. Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, Yahweh, the God of Israel, who sit above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth. 2 Kings 19:14–15 WEB.
Hezekiah looked hopelessly over the city wall at the giant army. Jerusalem was surrounded by the same enemy who had destroyed all their neighboring cities. The enemy king, Sennacherib, had written Hezekiah a threatening letter demanding the surrender of Jerusalem.
King Hezekiah took the letter and spread it out before the Lord. He prayed and poured out his heart to God. Then God changed his circumstances. An angel of the Lord went out and killed 185,000 soldiers in the Assyrian army (2 Kings 19:35). They didn't even get to shoot an arrow at the city. Sennacherib returned home to Nineveh humiliated, and while he was worshipping in his god's temple, his sons killed him.
The panic in Jerusalem was for nothing other than it inspired them to seek the Lord more seriously. The enemy army became an extremely profitable treasure hunt, as the Israelites spent days picking through the vast treasure they had been carrying. Overnight a very bad situation was turned into a very good one.
When you need help, the one to turn to is God. He alone can turn the tide in your favor. No one can stop His hand. No one can close a door that He opens. Others may let you down, but the Lord will not, and when God is with you, no one can stand against you. He is God alone. There is none like Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I look to You today. Please deliver me, Lord, from the hand of my enemies. Set me free, and turn the bad situations I face into good ones as You did for Hezekiah. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Thank you Lord for being a God of second chances, accessible to us through Your son Jesus Christ. Please be with the members of this church, this community of Your sheep. Walk with us today Lord. We ask that Heaven would invade earth and you would be present in our lives, guiding us to be the light we were created to be. Make us new, Lord, renew the minds, hearts, and souls of your sheep so we can be most effective in serving your kingdom. Thank you for you Son. Guide our days as we invite and plead for you to walk with us, giving us an ever more present conscience and the fruits of the spirit. Lord, we declare this day to be a day of serving you, not bound by circumstance of the day, but serving the one who holds the day.

Amen!! I praise You dear Father, Son & Holy Spirit...You are Sovereign and my Savior and Guide!! I love You... You are God alone! Help me to give you my all... and to bring my requests to You and trust that Your will is perfect. I will pull away from the chaos and spread out my human proof/ fears.(my "letter") just as King Hezekiah did and TRUST Your promises that surely Your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Praise the Lord for that goodness!!

My Friend took me to the Hospital the other day and I appreciate that. I had to wait 7 hours before I was put in a room to be seen by the doctor. My potassium was extremely low and I had to be given potassium in an IV Bag for 3 hours. Upon being released my friend picked me up and took me home. That's my Ex boyfriend we are still friends since we broke up. He still come to visit me and bring his dog over sometimes. We were together 13 years before we broke up last year. I never been married before but sometimes I think about marriage. I want to have a husband who loves Christ and love me unconditionally. I love John that's my friend but he said that he does not believe in Christ anymore several years ago because of research on line. Deep inside I want to get married but my heart is guarded. I been focusing on the Lord alot lately. I still have not gotten over my friend break up yet.

Follow your heart Madalyn... God will never lead you astray. If it's meant to be with John, God will draw him back in. Just keep close to the Lord.
