I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10 WEB.In a United States supreme court case in 1932, Sorrells vs. the United States, a prohibition officer repeatedly tried to get a factory worker to buy him some bootleg whiskey. The agent lied to Sorrells and told him that he was a fellow veteran from the World War, new to town, and he kept pressing him to "Do an old war buddy a favor."
When the man finally gave in and found him some whiskey, the officer then arrested him for violating the National Prohibition Act. The supreme court took up the case. They called it "Entrapment," which is when the government persuades you to break a law they created and then tries to prosecute you for doing exactly what they asked you to do.
Similarly, the enemy will place a bad thought in your mind and immediately accuse you of wrongdoing: "Look at you! And you call yourself a Christian." He is the accuser. Even though it wasn't your thought, he will try his best to make you believe it was your idea. Then make you feel guilty for thinking that way!
This is a crowd-control tactic. He has successfully neutralized you if he can make you walk around all day with your head hanging down, feeling unworthy to even pray because of your bad thoughts. When you are too ashamed to speak to God, you are powerless and defenseless. The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). If something will not leave your mind, take it to God in prayer, and take away satan's ammunition.
"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
Do not fall into entrapment. God is above all of this, He knows who is to blame, and his day is coming. Push these thoughts aside, hold your head up, stand up straight and walk as a child of God each day. I am loved, forgiven, redeemed, and the Lord is my Shepherd.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You help me put on the helmet of salvation to guard my mind against attacks. Please help me renew my thought life and take on the mind of Christ. You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. With Your help, I will overcome. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, here is this week's theme from group leader, Dianna Wyles: John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?' ~ Our next lively, fun-filled theme will be 'A Gift God Gave You'. Our themes are wide open for creative interpretation. You are also encouraged to post anything else that inspires you as well! My photos this week express just a few of the many gifts from God that I hold dear (family, nature, and all those heart blessings I see everywhere). Have an amazing Easter in full appreciation of God's precious gifts of life, rebirth, and acceptance into HIS family as sons and daughters. God Bless! Here is the link:

Amen, help me Lord Jesus!
My Christian shrink told me everyone has intrusive thoughts to some extent. It's true, I think! She said learn to look at one and say, Oh, look, an intrusive thought, and just let it pass by without giving it any more attention. Focusing on Jesus and the Word certainly helps!
