Then Satan answered Yahweh, and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing? Haven't you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth your hand now, and touch all t...

You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith. In the same way, wasn't Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead. James...

However you are just in all that is come on us; for you have dealt truly, but we have done wickedly; neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept your law, nor listened to your commandments and your testimonies with which you did testify against them. For they have not ser...

  • He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love. By this God's love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:8 WEB

Each time that I stumble in my Christian walk, the thought comes to me to turn back. I begin to feel things like: 'Why bother, you will never make it, it is too difficult, look at what you have done, you should be ashamed, you are not good enough, God is mad at you.'

All of these and so many more like them are lies from the enemy for once you invite Jesus into your life, there is no more 'sin problem' separating us from God. Jesus has already paid for every sin that you will ever commit, in advance. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have no sin, then we are a liar (1 John 1:8). We all do.

In the beginning Adam and Eve listened to the lies of the devil and sided with him by disobeying God in the garden of Eden. Then they felt the sudden urge to hide from Him. That is always the pattern. Yet, because of His love for us, God has made a way to redeem us and He gave His only begotten Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sin. When you ask Jesus to be your Lord, He pays for your mistakes in God's eyes, with His own blood. To think that you can make it right yourself is a mistake. You are siding with the enemy and working against God. We don't have to hide anymore for our debt of sin has been paid in full.

Charles Spurgeon said: 'The person who does not serve God where they are, would not serve God anywhere else.' Be sure to serve God right now where you are and doing exactly what you are doing. If there is something in your life that needs to be fixed, rest assured that He will give you the grace to deal with it at the proper time. Don't fall for the lie that you need to get your life together before seeking Him. Just surrender your life to Him and He will then help you get it together. When you put Him first, the other things will begin to fall into place naturally.

Prayer: Heavenly Father please help me to see Your truth and make it real to me. Protect me from deception and lead me into all that You have for me here. I want more of You in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.' (Philippians 4:6-7) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

I can truly relate as being one prone to wander, I have heard those lies many times. If I had listened I wouldn't be writing Christian books and working in His ministry. I wouldn't have gotten to the level of maturity in my faith where I have allowed Him to keep me from wandering anymore, as I fully submit to Him.
