For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

Faithfully

  • He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them He remains faithful forever. Psalms 146:6 NIV

Looking back over my life, I now see things that the Lord told me twenty-five years ago coming to pass. Things that I had put on the shelf, thinking that perhaps I had missed Him in some way, I am now living. There were a few times that I was convinced that I had ruined His plans for me. I went through a divorce, I had seasons of temper tantrums and bad attitudes after the death of a child. I was always happy to have His blessings, but things needed to go my way or I would pout.

Yes, looking back I am half ashamed of my walk. I was an impetuous child, but I am still here and God is faithful. Through all of my mistakes, times where I knew it was wrong but did it anyway, God has been steady, unchanging and faithful. When I began to feel alone, it was always me that had once again wandered off, and He was always there when I would fall on the carpet and return in prayer.

Hang on to God. The things that the Lord has promised you in your heart will come to pass. When you fall, get up and try it again. God understands, He loves you and He has a plan for your life. Dont throw in the towel yet and dont give up on Him. Though you cannot see it coming and have almost forgotten, it will still arrive at the proper time. He will faithfully complete the work that He has begun in you.

Prayer: Father, complete your work in me and mold me into the vessel you desire, in the name of Jesus.

Tina G I love your honesty, Rev. The temper tantrums, pouting when things didn't go my way...even tho "my way" was getting me nowhere! I got myself and everyone around me stressed out. Not nice. God waited it out and when I finally threw in the towel He was there waiting to help me find a new way. His way. So greatful for His kind, loving patience.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield I too am ashamed and disgusted by my pathetic life. I feel safe to admit it here, but I surrendered my RN license because I was caught stealing FOOD! Food to binge on and throw up, for I was still  enslaved to an eating disorder in the end. I never admitted this to ANYONE. Oh, I could keep my license, but then I was diagnosed with RA and lost my hearing, so God really DOES have plans for us! LOL! May you all have a blessed, safe Memorial Day! Please pray for my family. I am being tested for possible endometrial cancer. I was also recently diagnosed with diabetes and a thyroid problem. I'm scheduled for further tests all this week. Looks like I'll get a chance to catch up on my crocheting while waiting in the doc's office! LOL

Nell Neathery
Nell Neathery Amen!  I will repeat your prayer here as I have dedicated myself to pray here at RHM 3 times a day when possible with my present schedule.  I, too, Pastor am ashamed of issues in my past, but what I have been seeing and hearing lately as to what to say about that:  We are not ashamed of Jesus in any way, form or fashion.  Father, complete your work in us here at Refreshing Hope Ministries and mold us into the vessels your desire, in the name of Jesus, Amen

Kay Rushin
Kay Rushin The thing is God is here even when we are not smart enough to know he loves us or that  we even need him. He is always protecting his children. We have lessons to learn and stages to go through before some of us are ready...He knows exactly who we are, exactly what we need at all times. He had given me my heart's desire. Sent people I didn't  know I needed,  "and"  is still sending them. The trials are for our testimony so we can bring others the good news. Who listen's to people who think their lives are perfect? The gratitude I feel makes my past feel almost necessary! Trust the plan even when you can't see the end.... it called faith....It seems more like a "miracle"  from where I began......To me he did the impossible. Be encouraged.....

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler Pastor....I do not feel anything in particular that I look to see yet as you said "things He planned in my heart".   Maybe there are...I am contented.  Full weekend...being with my husband which I believe is the promise from long ago.  The first marriage burned out in alcoholism in me & children.  I was not alone because the Lord was there yet physically I was burned out in emotions & the what is next factor.  Crisis a regular meal.  Nerves developed toes to stand on.  Cried a lot to the Lord a lot.  When it came to complete fall apart( kids & all) God was there!  Really took care of me.  Years later met & married my husband.  Soon 25 years.  Pretty contented.  Medical things came afterward which God was there to take me thru.  This weekend we spent simple pleasures together for that is us.  Helped him in a huge hedge cut/trim & clean up.  Tied bundles of hedge for trash pick up tomorrow.  Charlie cut it down more to benefit him in maintenance of it.  Looks great.  We garden perennials, shrubs, & flowers.  Pray we can be together some years around here for we enjoy it.  After city life(a very different life) to this wonderful neighborhood we feel God has blessed us plenty.  Sounds like you & Sylvia are the same.  I was in different Ministeries over years.  See nothing at moment & truthfully don't know what one it might be.  Love getting a chance to tell someone about Jesus.  I am a bit evangelical.  A man recently on a grocery parking lot.  Blessings, Glory  & Power be all to Jesus!!  He is worthy!!
