The Spirit said to Philip, "Go near, and join yourself to this chariot." Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?" He said, "How can I, unless someone explains it to me?" He begged Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:29–31 WEB.
I played music with a local band, and they had booked a bar for the weekend. I needed the money to help pay my way through Bible college, so I often played music until four in the morning. I had prayed with my pastor about quitting, but the Lord had told us, "No. Not yet." On Sunday mornings, it would often be daylight when I got home. So I would just take a shower and go to church, for I played in the praise team there as well.
One night, about two in the morning, I stood in the parking lot of a bar and preached one of the best sermons on salvation I had ever heard. It wasn't mine but was given to me at that moment. Conviction fell on the people who heard it. One started shaking and trembling. I led him to the Lord soon after.
The Holy Spirit had descended on me in the middle of a song, and a scripture came to mind. Then, a man off to my right caught my attention. It was like he was spotlighted, and I knew the scripture was for him, but he was drinking. So I told the Lord, "When break time comes, I am going out to my car. If you want me to share this scripture with him, then send him to me."
When break time came around, everyone headed to the bar for a drink. I went out to my car and opened my Bible to the scripture the Lord had given me. Soon, there was a tap on the window. It was the man, and he started asking me questions about God. So I started reading him the scripture, and it became a sermon. He gave his heart to the Lord.
The excitement that Phillip lived still happens to those who listen and are willing. When you get serious about serving the Lord Jesus Christ, your life will become like a box of chocolates. You never know what you will get, but you can bet it's going to be good.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please give me divine encounters. Help me live my life to the fullest and become the person you created me to be. I want more of You in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

I would like to ask for prayer for my son Shaun, he’s going through a divorce and has a bad addiction to drinking. He wants to quit so bad but the devil has got a stronghold on him. Please pray he can beat this addiction. I pray Jesus will give him the strength to to finally battle this awful addiction. I know there is power in numbers praying. God bless and thank you.
Amen and Amen, this I pray!!! God works in mysterious ways, and as the saying goes: "Bloom where you are planted", and here you are, Pastor Dion, that's why you needed to be there to increase the harvest, and that's why you're needed building RHM, a much needed online ministry, praise the Lord!!! HE gave you many skills and talents, equipped you in the process as far as your many computer skills, your music, and your spirit filled inspired messages!! I used to be a licensed banker for almost 28 years, but when my Mother got so very ill, and I had such a hard time getting more time off, such as family leave, I got nothing but . . ., so I retired! Spent a lot of time overseas to help my Dad take care of my Mother. In the year that she passed on I was literally drawn to Home Health Care, which became my mission till I finally retired to take care of my husband! All I can say that it was God who directed and planted me where He wanted me to be! Jesus, the Lord, ultimately became the main focus, and I was able to pray with my people, even sing to them and with them, next to all the many other duties required. I learned many things in the process which are very helpful especially right now that I'm taking care of my husband so that he can stay at home! "Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not . . . and He will direct your path" - Prov. 3:5-6 🙏
