For this cause, I remind you that you should stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 WEB.
Have you ever felt a sense of dread come over you? Have you been afraid of that monster in the closet or under the bed? My older brother, who had a driver's license, was a serious horror movie fan. I must have seen every scary movie that was released while growing up. Don't let that happen to your children. For years I paid the price, and I still despise them today. We saw so many they became comical. Why would someone do that with a chainsaw?
After I started drawing closer to God, He revealed to me that most of our fears are rooted in not trusting Him. Though it can be a very powerful enemy to overcome, He is the ultimate power. Faith understands that God will protect you. Fear believes that He will not.
Often it's because we feel we have let Him down. That God is mad at us, and we may get punished. Yet, God removes our past sins away from us just as if they never happened. If you grew up like I did and your brain was trained to think a certain way, it could take a while to retrain your thought patterns. I had to memorize this verse and say it often. "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear."
God's Holy Spirit gives us power, love, and a sound, disciplined mind, which is the complete opposite of fear and panic. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Let your mind be renewed, and take on the mind of Christ.
If God is for us, who can stand against us? Think positive, and don't dwell on what may happen because it may not. Put your trust in Him, and don't try and work it all out in your mind. God knows the end from the beginning. He is well able to prepare you for what is coming. Don't be afraid.
Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 WEB).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for being there for me. Please remove the fear from my life and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Let me walk in faith and power and be a part of what You are doing on this earth today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀
I love that: "if God can for us, then who can be against us." My daughter and husband used to like scary movies. I believe my daugther still does. My grandmother used ot scare us, when we were much younger, about a sack man being in the neighborhood, wearing a sack over his head. That was scary to us, and it seems like I saw one. Maybe, she was telling us to be cautious instead of trying to scare us. I have gone through real paranoia during my diagnosis starting in the late 1970's. Now, I rebuke the devil away from me in Jesus' name, Amen.
Pastor's Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for being there for me. Please remove the fear from my life and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Let me walk in faith and power and be a part of what You are doing on this earth today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Believing in an invisible God is hard for some people to comprehend. For me? He's always been a part of my life just as much as anyone else who gives Him the time of day. He has proven over and over to me that He exists... I pray that every living soul gets to know the Amazing God that I know. He's there for all of us. No one is above anyone else... He loves us all the same. Peace 🕊️ and love 💕 to you all... And Praise be to God... 🙏🏼

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
