When they began to sing and to praise, Yahweh set ambushers against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were struck. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. When they had finished the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy each other. 2 Chronicles 20:22 WEB.
A great army comprised of troops from several countries invaded Israel, and King Jehoshaphat became scared. The situation looked hopeless, for his little army was vastly outnumbered. King Jehoshaphat went to the Lord in prayer, and the Lord gave him a fresh direction. A bizarre plan. He brought out the choir in their holy attire and sent them before his army. They were on the front lines, singing, "Give thanks to the Lord for His steadfast love endures forever."
The approaching praise team coming over the hill had to look completely insane to the enemy troops. They were probably whistling to themselves while sharpening their axes, daydreaming about all the loot they would soon be gathering when they sacked Jerusalem. Then here comes a group of singers.
Yet, when Jehoshaphat's choir began to sing praises to God, He turned the enemy troops against one another. They attacked each other in an utter state of confusion and wiped themselves out. Not a single enemy escaped the slaughter. The army of Israel didn't have to kill anyone, and it took them three days to gather all the spoils.
There was a vast amount of food, medicine, armor, weapons, clothing, and precious jewelry. All of this was "delivered" right to their door by the enemy troops. The Israelites spent a long time thanking God for this incredible blessing. The giant enemy army they were so afraid of turned out to just be delivery boys. God's people faced the enemy, but God won the battle for them, and He gave them quite a blessing.
If you are facing an impossible situation today, don't neglect to praise God. Face the trouble with a smile. Praise (halal) means to flash, radiate, shine, and make the Lord look good! Lord, you are Awesome!
God's way is not our way, for it is far better. It just may be that your impossible situation is a great blessing in disguise, delivered right to your door by the Kingdom Express.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are in control, and I am going to praise You in the storm. I am going to dance in the rain. I don't have to understand everything, for I know that You do. Please help me focus on the right things, and I will trust You with the rest. I love You, and thank You today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: For those interested, our Wednesday morning prayer service starts at 10:30am EST! This is a short service, about 15-20 minutes, where we pray together for any needs you bring forth. Hope to see y'all there! As always, if you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network.
Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

Good morning Sylvia & Pastor Dion!🌞
What a powerful Word today, Pastor. We know that daily praise is so so important!! Many times we allow the enemy to direct our focus on the circus of a world we live in. That's when our fears and comparisons to others take over.
Dear Father, May Your name be praised every single day and throughout the day. May we lose the fears that often grip our hearts and minds. In Jesus' Holy and powerful name I pray, Amen 🙏
