The heavens are Yahweh's heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men. Psalms 115:16 WEB.
I watched my son wrestle with connecting the wiring harness to the motherboard of the computer he was building. I could have done it for him, but he was now six years old and needed to learn to do this himself and that the plug only fits one way.
He wanted a gaming computer for Christmas. So being a computer tech, I bought him something much better: All the parts for a gaming computer in a big cardboard box. Then I let him assemble it himself and install everything from scratch so he would take care of it. Also, he would know every part inside of it.
Of course, I supervised while he assembled the computer, gave him pointers, and tried to help him avoid common mistakes. I taught him to keep himself grounded to prevent ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and smoking the parts. When he got stumped, I would help him, or when he asked me. But besides those times, I just watched him quietly.
When the project was complete, he had built much more than a computer. He had built his confidence. Now he had an experience his peers didn't have. Later, when the computers would break at his school, they would ask him to fix them.
Heaven is God's home, but the Earth God has given to the children of man. He watches us from above as we would observe our children putting together a jigsaw puzzle, a model car, or a gaming computer. The Lord is there and entirely able to help us. In fact, He could do it better than we could, but He won't step in uninvited. God provides what we need, guides us, and will help us when we ask Him to. He wants us to grow in faith and to know that we are not alone here. We can have confidence that He has got our back.
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB.
Would you take away your child's model car and assemble it yourself? Do it all for them? That would rob them of the experience. So enjoy your life, and when you get stumped, pray about it. That's our way of getting guidance when we need it, but don't expect a lot of help to come that you didn't ask for.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for all You have given me today. I choose to believe that You are there for me when I need You most. Please guide me this day and help me put all of this together correctly. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: This morning, we will be hosting our RHM Live Online church service. This is a special time of worship, prayer, fellowship and an inspiring message. All are welcome! Here is the link to join: RHM Live

Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
