“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.” Jeremiah 29: 11
Have you ever heard the saying ‘the best laid plans of mice and man often go astray’? It is actually a very profound statement I never put a lot of thought into before. As a child, I often dreamed of how I wanted my life to be. As I reflect back to those childhood dreams or plans I thought I wanted have completely turned out to be very different than what I thought.
We all have this journey called life and with every journey, we all have choices to make and those choices all have consequences whether it is a choice we make for the worse or for the good of things. If each one of us actually took the time to literally sit down and draw a timeline of plans of the when, what and how we were going to spend at least one day, 9 times out of 10, within the first hour the timeline would be completely torn apart.
Sure we all have some kind of plans but to be meticulous about it would only result in being frustrated and stressed because Life happens! I believe this can be related also in our growth as young Christian to a mature Christian. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, there are some of us that were brought up and it was just a way of life and then there are some of us that we can remember the exact time and place and felt a fire lit under us and we wanted to shout it to the Heavens how great God our Father is. As we grow in our Christian walk we all may have great plans of how we want to spread the good news of Jesus and then Life happens.
Our best laid plans often go astray. In our Christian walk with God we eventually get to the point to just live in the moment and let God’s plan for us play out. Sure, we have anticipated hope of how we think they should be or want them to be but when we completely surrender every aspect of our life to God it actually can make life an exciting adventure and a lot less stressful. I think of it as being the main character in a blockbuster movie we know nothing about other than the fact the ending is going to be great!
Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

What a blessing, Pastor Dion! The audio library page is easy to navigate and I truly appreciate the pop-out player, as I have many tabs open during my computer sessions and this allows me to keep the music flowing. Well done! 😊🎶

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
