I come before you now, God my Rock and Salvation, with concerns that weigh heavy on my heart. I know that you are with me to guide me through the challenges that I face. I ask that you be with others as well.
I ask for comfort for families who have experienced the earthly death of a loved one. Surround them with your love and use your people as an instrument of comfort and caring for them as they forge their way through the grieving process. Help them to see the wonderful things that have happened in this world because of the people that they have loved.
I ask that you be with those who are dealing with illness, disability or pain; give them times of respite, touch their souls that their spirits may find comfort and rest with you. Surround them with people that will help them through this journey of healing that they face.
I ask that you be with all in the world who suffer. Those who experience fear on a daily basis simply because of where they live. People who live in war-torn communities, people who are trying to find a better place to raise their families only to rejected in a new country, people who do not have a home, people who are faced with addiction, sadness and despair.
I ask you to bless those women and men who fight for the honor of their country. I am often reminded that battles continue in many parts of our world. People from our country and others continue to give their lives in battle. Be with them and those who love them. Bring peace to our world so that people no longer need to give their lives in this way.
Lord, I ask your blessing on all who are reading this prayer, right now. Lord, remind us that you are risen today and that you will guide us.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I pray. AMEN
