But when they deliver you up, don't be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. Matthew 10:19 WEBA truly great coach is almost transparent. They are always behind the team,...

As it was in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all. IN-Between ...

  • Have you found yourself 'here' often?

    In-between Jobs?
    In-between Decisions?
    In-between Relationships?
    In-between Loss and Recovery?
    In-between Illness and Regaining Health?
    In-between Confusion and Stability?
    In-between Tears and Joy?

Every one of us has or shall be visited throughout life, by the In-between places.

The Disciples of Jesus were no different than you or I. Having walked with Jesus from the Baptism of John to beyond the First Day of the Week in which he was Resurrected, they now found themselves in an 'In-between Place'.

Jesus was no longer walking with them daily. He was, however, doing His Father's Business and appearing to them 'here and there.' In a real sense, He was 'weaning' them from the need to see Him in the Flesh and was training them in preparation to be guided by the Invisible Holy Spirit.

For now, in some ways, they still felt like Sheep without their Shepherd. Not knowing what to do 'next'. All of this was the Plan of God. They needed to stand on their own two feet.

Jesus had been 'calling the shots' for a long time and they like the Israelite's of old - moved only when the Cloud by Day or the Pillar of Fire by Night - moved them.

On a certain day, Peter and Seven others of the disciples were gathered together by the Sea of Tiberias which is the Sea of Galilee. Each was drawn from their own homes and for whatever reason had found themselves together.

Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, James, John, and two unnamed disciples stood on the shores of the sea. It was Peter who seems to have broken the silence with an abrupt:

    "I am Going Fishing!"

Having nothing better to do the Seven decided 'they were going fishing also.' They had NO idea what would take place before the next day was over.

They toiled all night. They caught NOTHING. Not only were they Sheep without their Shepherd ... they were now Fishers without any success. Tired, they began to row back to shore with an empty net.

Suddenly, while they were still several hundred feet from shore in somewhat shallow water they heard a Voice crying out to them.

"Children .... Have you any meat?" ... or ... "Have you caught anything?" Their reply had little enthusiasm for it. They simply answered; "NO!"

    The Voice came yet again:

"Cast your net on the Right Side of the Ship and you will find a catch!" They did so ... and so they did! In fact, it may have been the largest catch they ever had taken in. 153 Fish and an Unbroken Net!

It was here when and where Jesus was revealed to them.

Endure your In-Between Places. He is never far. Learn to hear His Voice whether here or there. You are not alone in this place.

Trust in God. Fear Nothing. Cast in your Net ... and Run, Row ... or Swim ... to Jesus!

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. KJV.
