"CHRIST'S MANAGEMENT"
(Hot off the Press 3:36 a.m. Thursday, 10/3/13)
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:6-8 (in Context) 1 Peter 5 (Whole Chapter)
Last night I went to bed with a "crisis" on my mind. This a.m. I woke up and heard the Spirit of the Lord saying:
"Mary, Mary, let me take you back to the garden, back to when I gave Adam the privilege of naming all of the animals in the Garden of Eden. (Gen. 2:19-20)
“ Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field”
The Lord went on to say, "Satan comes as a roaring lion, but you have authority over him. Know this my beloved, what you call a thing is what it becomes. Nothing is a 'crisis' to me. In my language (Hebrew) the word 'crisis' means OPPORTUNITY."
CHRIST'S MANAGEMENT: PART II
"And again I say unto you, my beloved, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me (Jesus). Now, put your hand over your heart and say after me, 'I will not let my heart be troubled.' In the world, you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. I've got this. Be not soon shaken. Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh. I've got this. Mark the perfect man. No matter what comes up, or what goes down. Know, I've got this.
"Trust me with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all of your ways, acknowledge Me and I will direct your path. I've got this. You need not to worry about what to do from day to day. Cast your cares upon Me for I care for you. When you don’t know what to do, just be still and know that I am God. You will hear My Voice saying, This is the way. Walk ye in it. Don’t look to the left nor to the right. Stay on My path. I have a plan for you. I've got this.
CHRIST’S MANAGEMENT - III
Okay. Be honest. How many mistakes have you made because you were leaning to your own understanding? To thy own self be true. Truthfully, I’ve made more mistakes than I care to admit. Child out of wedlock. Married against my mother’s advice. Took a job for the wrong reason. Refused to accept constructive criticism. And the list goes on and on and on. I’ve always said, “One day I’m going to write a book and call it, Mistakes I’ve made. It will probably be a sequel. Alas.
As one of my favorite teachers, John Maxwell, says: “Sometimes We Win, Sometimes We Learn.” I’m happy to report that in the past few years I’m learning how to discern the Voice of God much better than I did in my younger years.I often say, “I’m old enough now to have finally gotten some sense.” I am now learning to be still and listen better for the still small Voice of God.
In the past few years, as soon as I wake up and before I get out of bed, I say, “Okay. Lord, tell me what’s on YOUR mind.” Sure, I have an agenda full of things to do. Some good and some God. But what I really need to know is, “What is God saying? What’s on God’s mind?” More than once, I have found that I have something on my agenda that God isn’t even thinking about. I could have wasted precious energy doing my own will. It may have been good, but was it God?
Friends, time is short. We must learn to number our days.
