David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 WEB
David was distressed. He and his men had wept until they no longer had the strength to weep. When they returned to their town, they had found it burned to the ground and all of their wives, children and belongings had been taken. Now the six hundred men, who were David's trusted friends, spoke of killing him themselves. David was sitting on the ground with nothing, no family, no friends, and no belongings. He had lost everything.
Then David pulled himself together, he strengthened himself in God. He asked God if He should pursue the Amalekites, and the Lord answered him that day and told him to pursue, for he would recover all. David and his men went after a much larger enemy force, defeated them, and brought back everyone and everything that had been taken from them. Nothing was missing (1 Samuel 30:19).
Sometimes it is just you and God facing a great challenge, and you have to make the best of it. Especially when those that you once trusted, turn into your enemy. When the world turns its back on you, He is still there. When you feel alone in the crowd, God is still there.
When David was completely alone, he turned to God and received the answer because a word from the Lord changes everything. Talk to God, build yourself back up, ask Him for the answers, strengthen yourself in the Lord. Whatever you do, don't give up because God is able to help you recover all and can make a bad situation, into a victory.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I love You today and I look to You for the answer. Please give me wisdom and a clear vision for my life. Open the doors that I should go through, and give me a push me to take the next step. I want all that You have for me, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Last Saturday I moved and my x husband pushed me an threw my belongings. I'm considering filing a police report. I'm praying and think this is the right thing to do. He also had my daughter and is refusing to allow me to talk to her. This message spoke volumes to me. May God give me the courage to be strong stand up for truth and be wise. Come Holy Spirit.
Praying for you Michelle.
Michelle, I am so sorry for all that you have been going through. I know you have been planning all along to bring your girls, so if he is holding her without custody rights, you certainly need to file a report, as well as for the violence. You will probably have to continue dealing with him in life because of your daughters and he needs to know that violence is not something that is acceptable. Praying for you, sister <3!
Prayers sent for you. LORD GOD have mercy on Michelle and please give her strength and endurance in all that she is going through, in the name of OUR LOR JESUS CHRIST. Amen
As the trials and storms come, I find when I am most vulnerable and "feel" the most alone that He reveals His presence and binds up whatever negative "feelings" I may have. As I come to him "feeling" alone and helpless, He raises me up, He strengthens me and He restores my joy. As you can see I highlighted feel , because that is all it is. It is a "feeling", it is not reality. In reality He is there , He "never" leaves and I am "never" without Him, I am "never" alone.
Amen! I believe this.
Amen and amen, Carol, He is just as close as we are willing to let Him be!
You're so right! Thank you!
LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is always there for us. HE maybe silent but LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is always there for HE IS MERCIFUL, LOVING AND FAITHFUL. aMEN
Amen
Amen, I believe this to. It is very important as my husband and I have learned that each one of us needs to have our own relationship with the Lord, because there are going to be those times, that it will only be God who can carry you through.
My husband and I are really one. I tell you there are times when one of us feels so helpless because there doesn't seem to be anything that you can do to help the other but we know that God will pull them through.
Amen!
Amen, April!
I've always been in admiration of David's strength in that moment as he turned to the Lord! Then they were encouraged by God's response and capturing all that was taken from them.
This morning I woke up with a horrible feeling from a bad dream and feelings of depression. I can't wait to turn to the Word of God and release that awful feeling and renew my strength in the Lord! Thank you for giving this inspirational message this morning. I really needed to hear it!
God bless you!
Father, I lift up Karen to you and pray that you deliver her from the spirit of depression and silence the voices of the enemy in her dreams. Please shine your light into her spirit and fill her with your joy, in the name of Jesus, amen!
Amen
Our Sunday School lesson yesterday was the very same! All about how David turned to God in his hour of need! You did an awesome job covering David's turning right to God over the loss of everything for the his whole army. May God continue to bless you and your wonderful ministry.
In the last few weeks I have had to rely on only God to strengthen me and help me thru. I only had God to talk to and I have a picture of Jesus looking up to God on the cross about doing His will and not mine. He was utterly alone and looking at that picture helped me to keep going. I remembered the scripture how David strengthened himself in the Lord and that helped me as well. Thru it all, God is my very present help in trouble and remains my closest friend.
Love scriptural pictures as you described. Been thinking how the Lord left so many examples for us to relate to. I love it when I remember scripture like that & pictures. Pray Blessings over you & strength from the Lord to hold you. I have one I want to take a pic of & send it to you Audry.
Cool!
