Pharaoh's daughter came down to bathe at the river. Her maidens walked along by the riverside. She saw the basket among the reeds, and sent her handmaid to get it. She opened it, and saw the child, and, behold, the baby cried. She had compassion on him, and said, 'This is one of the Hebrews' childre...

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; Isaiah 46:9 WEBDuring a sci-fi night...

An Infinite Loop

  • Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. Matthew 6:31 WEB

Each time I would open the test application on the computer, the processor usage would climb to one hundred percent and the computer would slow to a crawl. The cursor would just show an hour glass or the spinning ball, and it would soon become unresponsive.

All the system resources were being used up, but it was accomplishing nothing. In the code, I had forgotten to include a proper break out and the computer application was now stuck in an infinite loop. It was repeating the same thing over and over again, endlessly. It would never move on. Eventually, all the remaining system resources would be used up and you would finally get (Not Responding).

Worrying about tomorrow is a lot like this. You try and solve tomorrow's problems in your mind. When you fail, you try again, and again, and again. It soon becomes an infinite loop and you lie in bed staring at the ceiling. This will drain all of your energy until you are finally exhausted and not responding to input from others. The noise level in your head will grow louder and keep you from hearing God's still small voice. You become so tired, and you have solved absolutely nothing.

Stop. Break out and through that wall of doubt and fear. God has tomorrow taken care of. When the problem arrives, the answer will soon appear. Today is the tomorrow that you were worried about yesterday. Do not get caught in a loop of worrying about tomorrow and miss living today. Trust God, and tomorrow will take care of itself just as yesterday did.

Prayer: Father, I pray that You bring the break through in my life. Help me break out of the loop and reach a new level. Fill me up with Your Holy Spirit, cover me with Your peace, and let me be a carrier of Your love on the earth. I choose to trust You with tomorrow, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Good morning! The highlighted group of the week is Spiritually Single. This group is focused on supporting those who are married to "pre-believers" and have to deal with the special challenges involved. It also includes any of you with loved ones who do not yet know the Lord. The group is here for support, advice and prayer in this area, and also hosts the "Fast & Pray Friday" each week to lift up your pre-believer loved ones. If this is you, we would love to have you join! ALSO The Creation Photographers fun theme of the week is "Handcrafted", open to your interpretation (Eccl. 9:10 'Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might')! As always you are free to share as God calls you to. Have a blessed day!

Awesome devotional today Pastor Dion.  Just this morning as I was in bed staring at the ceiling and praying for the Holy Spirit to fill any gaps or doubts in me, I was reminded of the Apostle Paul.  I prayed that I might also have a spirit of joy no matter what the circumstances, because I should know by now that GOD HAS GOT THIS.  I gave it to Him, and I don't want to take it back.  Lord I pray that everyone at RHM receives the peace and love of your Spirit and that our fears and doubts are calmed.  Lord I also pray for Your blessings and mercies on our country.  We need YOU GOD!

I used to be like this, and still am sometimes. It always helps to turn things over to the Lord! The prayer brought tears to my eyes, since I feel my life is stuck in a loop right now.  I know the Lord will lead me forwasrd in His time though.

I have learned through trial and error to turn and seek Him. If something large and threatening appears, I seek Him. I go to Him as a child and ask for my Abba Father to help me. I tell Him my fears and my sorrows. I release all to Him. I tell Him when my spirit is restless and my heart is aching and then He in His mercy strengthens me. I have learned to not let worry come against me, I must beat it and trample it under my feet with Faith. It is then that I can sense victory and feel His presence as He leads me through another storm.

Amen! I have finally come to realize these words are true. These are the promises. I am poor, but I am rich. I am so thankful for everything. God is really doing a work in my life right now. Why am I still in awe? It's a good thing!

The message today sounds very muchl like me before I knew the Lord.  I went through so many years worrying about the ne next day.  It wasn't until I lost everything my business license, my truck and was evicted that I met my beautiful wife Isabel and she led me to the Lord that I stopped worrying so much.  As she says he always gives us what we need.  Now I look at every day as a for tomorrow is not guaranteed. It helps to as my Grandmother used to say count your blessings every day!

Fill me again with Your Holy Spirit ,cover me with Your peace and let me be a carrier of your love on earth. I choose to trust you with tomorrow. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
