He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, 'Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.' Simon answered him, 'Master, we wor...

He told them this parable. 'Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn't leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?' Luke 15:3 WEBWhen I first got serious about serving the Lord Jesus, I was a musician and played ...

Yahweh spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they didn't listen. Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himse...

The Litter Box

  • And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, Where are you? Genesis 3:8-9 ESV

Adam walked with God in the garden but then after disobeying His command, withdrew and tried to hide because of it. Sin brings with it a natural tendency to cover up our mistake and to hide from the presence of God. Darkness flees from the light. Like a cat in a litter box, we try and cover our mess.

I find it comforting that the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, asked Adam “Where are you?” instead of pointing directly at him. God knew where Adam was better than Adam did, but He just called to him and waited for Adam to respond. God gave Adam space but called for him from a distance. He could just have easily struck Adam with a lightning bolt.

If you walk away, God will always be calling for you. You can run, but you can’t hide from the presence of the Lord. The mistakes that you have made, He already knows about and there is nothing to hide. Jesus has already paid for YOUR sin, even the ones in your future and with a simple prayer, you can have a clean slate and be washed as white as snow. Don’t try to cover your mistakes. His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Cor 12:9). Be real. Be you.

Carol Pady
Carol Pady Even though we back slide, the Christian still hears the Spirit of God. The feelings of being ashamed and guilty come from conviction. If we turn from our sin in repentance, the Lord's continual provision of Grace and forgiveness erases the sin and wipes the slate clean!

Ruth Martin
Ruth Martin I absolutely LOVE this message! I had often heard, growing up, the words "If there is a wall between you and God, He didn't put it there." But I never really understood what it meant till the night I couldn't sleep and couldn't figure out why my prayers were so not being answered. At least not that I could see. And then, in the (yeah, it sounds corny but so true) stillness of the dark night I heard a soft sound. Couldn't hear it with my ears, but with my heart and soul. And I knew the Voice as He called me back to Him. I refound the Lord, kneeling on the floor next to my bed, crying my heart out. And I could literally feel the bricks as they started crumbling. I am so thankful that we serve the Living God and He will always call to us no matter how deep in a hole we are.

kylie dempsey I love this...I let go of my faith last year. During the whole time Holy Spirit chased and wooed me. I came back and asked for forgiveness. I have a much stronger relationship with Him today.

Jeanie Fleming
Jeanie Fleming i am so relieved that God lives in my heart and soul.  When i am headed in the wrong direction He speaks and says quietly: "step away and go down My path instead".  Some call it a guilty conscience, i call it my Abba in Heaven looking out for me.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler At this time of my walk I do know God sees in dark & light.  Walking away is a tough one.  I was totaly upset when I found my X cheating and went after him & her on the road with my car.  At end of chase I pulled in front of him.  God said is this what you really want.  My X walked up and said what do I want.  I was ready to say nothing .  Later I went home and beat the rug crying of the feeling God let me down.  I was truly hurt and confused with a flood of thoughts.I was weak, couldn't eat...in grief.  Going to church I was in a fog and the worship music was doing nothing for my spirit.  It always was something I enjoyed.  Then I walked out the church and sat on a bench near the church open windows.  I could hear it now. I did this often for awhile.  God wanted to heal me. It came eventually thru another time with God.
