For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. Habakkuk 2:3 WEB.About thirty-five years ago, the Lord gave me a word that I would pioneer new things in ministry and fo...

The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

The Mountain Mover

  • Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. Psa. 37:5 ESV

Once while we were researching some property, we found a tax lien against us for several thousand dollars that I knew we did not owe. After calling the Department of Revenue, they said that we had missed filing some business form and the penalties and taxes had built up on it for years. We had never received any notification about this form and were horrified. They could not give us details because the record had been archived and they would have to restore a backup of it that night, so we were told, “Please check back tomorrow.”

My wife and I prayed about this together and felt like we heard “Say nothing negative.”

This was one of the hardest things that I had ever done. Every fiber of my being wanted to scream: “We do not owe this!” and I wanted to whine and complain so badly… but we didn’t. Instead, we just did not talk about it at all for the 24 hours. We just had to trust God to handle this situation as it had grown into a mountain. The next day we called the D.O.R. back and found that it was an error. We never owed the bill, so the penalties and fees should not have been there anyway. The lady nicely removed the record, and the lien went away.

When mountains rise up in front of you and things begin to look impossible to resolve, trust in the Lord God. He is able to bring to pass the impossible. Nothing is impossible for Him. He can move a mountain.

Sara Jane Turner
Sara Jane Turner I have found that the best way to get rid of a problem is to GIVE IT TO GOD, however, don't turn around and take it back. Thank Him in all things and relax in that fact.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield I can relate! In 1979, when I was an aspiring Dressage rider, my right hand was crushed and partially amputated in a factory accident.(I was working to support my horse and pay for expensive riding lessons; Dressage is not a cheap sport!) Overnight, I lost my dream of ever riding English-style again; no way could I imagine manipulation the double reins again. That same week, my friend from Bible study was murdered and my other friend was killed when a horse kicked her in the head.Talk about MOUNTAINS--I felt as if God set the entire range in the Himalayas before me! Admittidly, I DID lose faith for awhile, and my eating disorder turned into bulimia. That merely created it's own private mountain--LOL. Now, I hope and pray I will be able to publish my story, so perhaps others will realize how much God is capable of. NOT us--GOD! blessings, Kathy

Marisa Jackson
Marisa Jackson There have been many mountains thrown in front of me, loss of jobs, death of my parents, etc., but God has given me the strength to persevere. Without him, I am nothing and I know that I can do all things through God who continues to strengthen me every day. Thank you God for your love for me and for you son Jesus Christ who is my "Rock"! Amen!

Carol Pady
Carol Pady I can't remember a particular mountain, there have been numerous ones in my life! Whenever I felt overwhelmed by them and I gave it over to God, He turned my trial into a blessing! I found this is how He grows my faith! God is always good and always God is good!

Joy Sue Callahan
Joy Sue Callahan Amen..while I've spent the last 4 years in school, I've seen some lean times, some mountains, but as my relationship grew stronger in Christ the mountains He moved continued to draw me in even closer. I'm so very blessed and while I still have 2 years to go to get my masters, I'm ok as this is not the paths I began on but the path God later set me on and has allowed amazing things to happen for me. I spent 20 years in the vicious cycle of domestic violence and. 25 self medicating. The only drugs I never did was heroin, crack, or PCP. I've broken the violence cycle 15 years ago the drugs 10 praise God. I saw those years as wasted time until I changed my major from RN to Psychology/Counselor...now God has allowed me the opportunity to help others by working with battered women and addicts. The years weren't wasted time they were preparation. How I love the Lord

Richard Mondello
Richard Mondello Wow,how amazing are confirmations from God! Just read Psalm 37 this morning by the Holy Spirit's guidence! I trust Him even more now as I always should have. It's all about being commited to trust in Him, without any doubt. And,commiting all our ways to Him.God reminded me of this yesterday and taught me an example as I was driving down the interstate towards King's Mtn.,NC. I could see the mtn. peaks ahead in the distance but,the road ahead went down into a small valley. As I drove down hill, the mtn. peaks disappeared and I sensed the Lord telling me," This is like your life, having to go through some valleys before reaching the mtn. top of answered prayers/what I have promised. And,I will remove some mtn's out of your way. Look up on high where your help comes from,ME, the Lord your God." Father God be praised! Amen!

Deborah Alexander
Deborah Alexander presently I am facing my own mountain, I've heard the Lord say lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge me and I will direct your path. So what I've been doing is trying to follow Philipians 2:4 Look not only on the things of yourself but on the things of others. In doing this it keeps the focus off me and my mountain. Plus I'm trying to lean not to my own understanding
