You gave also your good Spirit to instruct them, and didn't withhold your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst. Yes, forty years you sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing. Their clothes didn't grow old, and their feet didn't swell. Nehemiah 9:20 WEB
When the Israelites came out of Egypt, the Lord gave them His Spirit to teach them, provided them food, water, and sustained them in every way. For forty years they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out, and there were no diseases found among them. That was amazing, but will God still do things like that today?
I had a very dear friend that used the same disposable razor for decades because it never wore out. It was an unusual but very practical gift from the Lord. When the razor started to lose its edge, she would just pray over it and it would become like new again.
It was just a small gift that God gave her because she took the time to ask Him. She continued to use that razor until she passed away twenty-three years later, and it never once nicked her.
The mighty hand of God is able to sustain you. He can give you everything that you need in this life, and in the life to come but we have to have to believe Him. His Spirit can teach you what you need to know, and sometimes the things that you already have may just last longer.
Prayer: Father, I pray that You cause my resources to last longer and help me make the right decisions in my life. Teach me the things that I need to learn and cover me with Your presence today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Note: Good morning! The highlighted group of the week is "Count Your Blessings" - God blesses us each day with the air we breathe, with new opportunities to shine His light to those around us, with time to know Him better, and so much more! This group is a place to take a bit of time each day to thank God for the blessings He has granted us! ALSO, please do check out the new theme of the week for Creation Photographers: "April Showers and May Flowers", and the Thursday FAAD chat, which will be based on Romans 8:28. God bless!
