Hezekiah prospered in all his works. However, concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him to test him, that he might know all that was in his heart. 2 Chronicles 32:30–31 WEB.
Hezekiah was a great king in Judah who followed the Lord closely. At his prayer, God sent an angel and wiped out 185,000 Assyrians who were coming to attack Jerusalem (2 Kings 19:35). Another time, he prayed, and God healed him and added fifteen years to his life (2 Kings 20:6). Still, there was a time when God left him to test him and to know what was in his heart.
While a teacher is instructing the class, you can usually ask all the questions you want about the subject, and the teacher will answer them. However, when the test comes, there is silence in the classroom.
Those are the times when there is no answer to your cries, and your tears seem to go unnoticed. Times when you feel God has gotten you out on a limb and abandoned you.
Know that you are not really alone. You are simply entering the test phase of what you have been learning. You continue on with the last word given until you have a new one. There will always be silence in the classroom during the tests.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You strengthen me and give me the grace to get through these times. Please reveal the pride in my life to me so I can deal with it before it harms me. Fulfill Your will in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Today, we will be hosting our Wednesday morning prayer service at the usual time of 10:30am EST! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network.
Wow. Another spot on message. I really feel like Gods been silent these past 6 months during this divorce. Ive prayed and prayed for Gods will to be done. Ive been silent waiting for Gods voice. Ive heard keep fighting for my wife. Ive fought everyday for her aNd it seems for every step forward im taking 10 backwards. Im struggling bad. I know you’re probably tired of hearing it. Im sitting in my car waiting to go into attorney’s office reading this and praying still. Help me Father please. Im not ready for the test. I need more answers. Please pray for me. I know God doesnt approve of this. My wife says Gods telling her to do this. As the song says Im Desperate. Give me scripture i can read on all this. Anything.

Lord, Billy is weary and so broken. Be merciful to him! Please look and see his distress and come close to him. Hear his prayers and requests. Sometimes he feels like You are not listening, but I know You see his heart. You know his unmet desires, his broken dreams, his fears. You are with him in his pain, even when he feels like he's a mess. He needs Your comfort and healing, Lord. Reassure him of Your love now, and bring him peace.
Psalm 38:8-9 NLT I am exhausted and completely crushed. My groans come from an anguished heart. 9 You know what I long for, Lord; You hear my every sigh.
