The Outcasts

Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured. All your adversaries, everyone of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plunder. I will make all who prey on you become prey. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, "because they have called you an outcast, saying, 'It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.' " Jeremiah 30:16-17 WEB.

It was a quiet morning, and the fog had settled over the fields. I went to the garden and picked a bell pepper to eat for breakfast. After my dad left for work, my stepmother would put my brother and me outside, then bring her children in to have breakfast at the table with her.

She kept the cereal and things that could be eaten without cooking in a cabinet with a padlock. She didn't want to see it wasted on us. My stepmother had ten children of her own, as well as three new stepchildren. I was the youngest of them all. When we became old enough to work, she began charging us rent to live there.

We were the outcasts, the unwanted, and constantly reminded that we were nothing and that we would never amount to anything. The other siblings were older than us and seemed to feel like we were trying to steal their inheritance, so most of them despised us. When you are treated like trash for so long, you begin to believe it and even expect it. I grew up with baggage that would scare many psychiatrists, but thankfully, my story doesn't end there.

After all of that mess, God sought me out, and He turned my life around. It turns out that His heart is for the outcasts. God sees your suffering and what you are going through. He will change your shame into praise. When God gets a hold of your life, no one can stop Him, and no one can get in His way. The ones that looked down on you will have to look up in awe at what God has done in your life, just like the half-brothers of Joseph looked up to him.

If you have been an outcast, know that God cares deeply for you. I am amazed at how much God cares for the lost, the outcasts, and the broken. He will truly leave the ninety-nine sheep behind (Luke 15:4) to seek the lost one out. When He has found them, He rejoices.

If you are down today, know that He will lift you up. When everyone else hates you, He still loves you. When they put you out, He will take you in. When they say that you will be nothing, He will mold you into something. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Surrender to Him completely and never look back.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your mighty hand on my life. You see the broken and the needy. You rescue the outcasts. Please lead me, and I will follow You today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Amen. My wife had a terrible life growing up too. From age 5 she was molested by 2 older step brothers. Hard for me to imagine. But being a yankee, we all heard stories how bad this kind of thing is in south… sadly I found it it’s wide spread there to this day. She got pregnant as a teen, left home. She was beat up and lost her full term baby by her dad. Terrible.. She had a hard life…drugs ect thru adulthood until 20 years ago.
But God. She reached out to Jesus in Jail and it was real…not just jailhouse ..words.
God is good. Never give up. She loves Jesus. After got out of jail, rehab and after her accident which left her crippled for life and got CRPS Diease (painful neurological disease from her car accident). The Lord led her back home to her dad. She led him to Jesus. When he got sick, heart surgery and was dying…she went to georiga and took care of him until he died.
No other family member did a thing to her care for him. Almost killed herself it was so hard-on her.
He told her before he died, how grateful he was for her. He said, “It’s always the one you would least expect to help him”. He passed peacefully.
She has a great testimony on the goodness of God. His mercies and grace. The spiritually strongholds were like iv never experienced before but not surprised. She was terrible when she visited that house she grew up in. Took a lot of praying to break those…but once she finally broke free from that place..it was sold.
Never give up. She struggles w terrible pain from her disease 24-7. Utah’s loves Jesus and is closer to Him than ever before.
I was blessed with a good family but totally understand how bad families can be..
Don’t know why I’m sharing this excepts to say,… Jesus heals our emotional sicknesses too. I think that can be harder than physical pain at times. God’s mercies are new every morning. He who ensues to the end will be rewarded. Don’t ever quit until we’re w Jesus. He is the giver and taker of life. Vera lays in bed most of time in pain…crying out to Jesus to take her home. Her faith is an inspiration to behold.
Thank you Jesus for my beautiful wife, for her testimony. I declare healing for her. In Jesus Christ Name..Come quickly Lord.

Oh, Pastor Dion, considering your past and what all you you had to go through, and look and behold how our compassionate Lord God, your Heavenly Father, has so mightily gifted you and used you especially with your computer talents now in this day and age to reach so many! You experienced so much pain and heartache in your youth, especially when you needed love, nurturing and so much more! We just never know what our Lord has in store for us, and how He prepares us!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so compassionate while ministering to us!!! "Numbers 6:24-26" 🤗🙏 PS: And see low and behold, God had big plans for you all along!!!
