Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. Matthew 13:44 WEB.
Jesus told a parable about a man who found some hidden treasure in a field. He joyfully sold all that he had so he could buy the land and make it his own. The man couldn't take the treasure without first purchasing the field. And though it cost him everything he had, it was absolutely worth it. His total sacrifice to buy the field brought him a great treasure in the end.
Jesus is a lot like the treasure in the field. When you truly get a glimpse of Him, nothing else seems to matter. You will joyfully give up all the things that used to seem so important. And the more you give up for His sake, the more He will give back to you in return.
Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News, but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life. Mark 10:29-30 WEB.
Yet, I am talking about the things that He is asking you to change in your life. Not what various religious traditions have told you. You can usually ignore those because you don't need to become a replica of someone else to please God. Just walk with Him and talk with Him each day of your life, and He will gradually bring the right changes to pass at the right time.
The Kingdom of God is free, yet in the end, it will cost you everything. If you don't let go of the things that hold you back, the things you hold dearer than God, then you cannot have the treasure hidden within it. You have to commit and buy the field. The price is high. Stay the course, and stay committed, for there will be an excellent reward for those who do.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I choose Your way. Please lead me into all that You have for me. Bring the changes to my life that need to be done. Help me to grow ever closer to You. Forgive me of the things I have done wrong, and fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

My words: My treasure is my family andf friends and my Bible and my Christianity. I am looking forward to receiving changes as I know they will be good coming from God. I ask Him for forgiveness and to be made new each day. I ask in His name, Amen

What a blessing, Pastor Dion! The audio library page is easy to navigate and I truly appreciate the pop-out player, as I have many tabs open during my computer sessions and this allows me to keep the music flowing. Well done! 😊🎶

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
