Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24–25 WEB.
When I was little and stayed with my mom for the summer, she took us to the beach. My brother and I built a giant sandcastle that day. We put a lot of work into it and even added windows. But later, the tide came in and washed our castle away. When the water receded, there was hardly a trace of our masterpiece. It had failed to endure the test of time, and the crashing waves hadn't helped either.
Keep Jesus in the center of your life. It is easy for other things to become your focus, and you can start to build everything around that instead. Be careful, for your life can come tumbling down when the tide rolls in and the shifting sands change.
Jobs end, people change, beauty fades, and children grow up. Everything we can see with our natural eye is temporary and will change over time. All these things have a place in your life, but they cannot be the center of it, for when they change, your life will too. You will never be stable until you develop that personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The unchanging Rock of Ages (Isaiah 26:4). Build your life on the Rock, not on the sand.
Build your life around Jesus, and you can still enjoy the rest. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). You won't miss out, for He will take care of you. He is the unchanging, everlasting Rock. The ones who trust in Him will not be wiped out like our castle was when the tide came in.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want You to be the center of my life. Please help me put things in the proper perspective and get my priorities in order. Give me the grace to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Just a reminder that our Wednesday mid-week service is now happening at 10:30am and not 3pm. Hope to see y'all there! As always, if you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network.
Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀
Good to know……..

Amen and Amen, sister, it is truly good to know and so comforting!!! ❤️
Amen! A very powerful word, Pastor. It made me a little weepy. Helene destroyed thousands of beautiful 100+ year old trees and that has dramatically changed our landscape, but the loss of life in these storms are especially sad. We have to remember this isn't our "forever" home. 🙏

Good morning, Sylvia and all of our RHM family! And, what a blessed and happy Wednesday morning it was starting out with my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus gathering together in our prayer meeting and uplifting worship song and music!!! May the Lord, our Lord, hear all of our petitions as we pray for one another and meet all the many needs according to His holy will! 🙏 Love and hugs to you, Sylvia and love to all! ❤️
AMEN!!! Dear Heavenly Father, I want YOU to be the center of my life, and not only my life, but the lives of all my loved ones far and near, my 3 siblings and their families, including distant relatives, all my many contacts and encounters that I had in the past! Please help me to put things in the proper perspective and get my priorities in order, and please give me the grace to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight! In the holy name of Jesus Christ I pray!!! 🙏

What a blessing, Pastor Dion! The audio library page is easy to navigate and I truly appreciate the pop-out player, as I have many tabs open during my computer sessions and this allows me to keep the music flowing. Well done! 😊🎶

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
