Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it." Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, "It isn't in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace." Genesis 41:14-16 WEB.

Joseph had been in prison for over two years. He had been sold into slavery by his brothers years before that. Now he was standing before the pharaoh of Egypt and being given his signet ring. Suddenly, Joseph was second-in-command of the most powerful nation on earth. Prison in the morning, Ruler of Egypt in the evening. The dream God had given Joseph when he was young had seemed to take forever, but now it had arrived.

This day was part of God's plan for Joseph, and it had taken between thirteen to twenty years to come to pass. It was intricate in detail, and many layers and characters were involved in making this happen. Israel was saved during an intense famine. Joseph learned management skills. He was humbled and became a broken man that God could use. After over a decade of Joseph feeling forgotten, his dream suddenly came to pass.

God's plans are intricate, deep, and all the pieces have to line up. This can take time, but suddenly it will happen, and it will happen. Keep on doing what you are supposed to do. Don't neglect your part of the plan, and be sure to work with Him. God's plan for you may take time, but it will arrive right on schedule.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You stir me, wake me, give me a new fire. Please help me to live out Your perfect plan for my life. Move the things that need to be moved and open the doors that need to be opened. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
