In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It's a ghost!" and they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying "Cheer up! I AM! Don't be afraid." Peter answered him and said...

Anchor of the Soul from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. When people lose hope, they lie down and die. They lose the will to live and fight any longer. Hopelessness is utter despair, the belief that nothing good will happen. When you begin to think like this, it will bring a desire to die. A ...

The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "Why don't your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?" Poetic Justice

  • For Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them and had cast the pur (that is, the lot) for their ruin and destruction. But when the plot came to the king's attention, he issued written orders that the evil scheme Haman had devised against the Jews should come back onto his own head, and that he and his sons should be impaled on poles. Esther 9:23 NIV

It was a perfect day, Haman thought. He had just been invited to a feast that Queen Esther had prepared for the king and him. That pest who had disrespected him at the city gate, Mordecai, would be hanged today, and all of his people would soon be annihilated as well. That should teach them to show some respect.

After showing up at the banquet though, that is where things started to go wrong for Haman. It turned out that Mordecai had raised the Queen as his own daughter. Overnight, the plan that Haman had made for God's people, came on himself. He and his sons were hanged and Mordecai took his place in leadership.

Nothing that anyone devises against you will work in the long term. God can cause the most elaborate of plans to fall back on the ones that started it. Keep your head up, do not get distracted and fall to their level. When God takes care of it, it is truly poetic justice.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are working in my life and I give You permission to do whatever You need to. In the end, this is going to work out for my good and I choose to trust You, in the name of Jesus I pray.

David and Dianna Wyles
David and Dianna Wylesedited: February 11, 2016 Amen! I would not want God to anilate anyone for poetic justice for me, but I wouldn't mind if he changed there heart to something kinder, and softer! Hurt people, hurt people! I only pray that when I am hurting so bad that I lash out, someone realizes it's the pain lashing out... Father no one wants to be hurting and when we are we often do not think of others. Lift those hurting people up and show them your love! Change their heart and help them love others with your kind of love! Amen! I've been hurt by hurt people so I know she doesn't deserve death over it she just needs to feel and see God's love in action. Luckly it's not my issue anymore... it's up to God how he deals with it all, I only pray his way of dealing with it is by healing her heart so she knows what she has done and what she should never do to others again. Thank you Pastor Dion! Great message today! Pastor's Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are working in my life and I give You permission to do whatever You need to. In the end, this is going to work out for my good and I choose to trust You, in the name of Jesus I pray.

Suzanne Russell
Suzanne Russell I like everything you do, but what I am kind of concerned about using this translation.  It's probably from Biblegateway and I use that also but I don't know if it's really reliable all the time.  This part about them being impaled on sticks has never shown up in all the Bibles I have read since I have been saved.  I have read other translations through the years and it was never like this.  So I'm wondering just how correct their translation is?  Also I have noticed that in some places the women's comments or actions are totally changed or taken out all together.  You might look into this.  I'm keeping all my old Bibles for just this reason.  I don't want anyone to distort the Bible not even a little.
