The Secret Admirer

I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalms 56:11 WEB.

I walked down the aisle at Church to the offering basket and dropped in my tithes for the week. It had been a few awful weeks in a row now, and it was starting to show at home. My tithe was ten percent of almost nothing once again.

Later, when I got home, I opened my Bible and found an envelope tucked inside it. Apparently, when I had gotten up to give my offering, someone had placed $250 in cash in my Bible! God had once again taken care of me when I had not told a soul that I needed anything. I still do not know who did it, but God does, and I sure needed it.

God was my secret admirer. He was my supporter. When things got bad, and there was nowhere to turn, the Lord was there. Silently, secretly, He took care of me. I told Him I needed help, and He told someone else that I needed help, someone that was able.

Put your trust in God and not in man. Make your needs known to Him and do your part, no matter how small, then trust Him to do His. My offering was only a few dollars, but if I had not gotten up to give it, I probably would not have received what God had for me that day.

He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If, therefore, you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (Luke 16:10).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for taking care of me. I know that you are my Secret Admirer and have my best interests at heart. Please draw me to You, teach me, and use me as you will, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
