The Golden Era

There is a time coming that will be the most glorious the Earth has ever seen, the golden era. A time of complete peace. A world free from war, sickness, and disease. When Jesus Christ rules and reigns on the Earth. Yes, there may be dark days between now and then, but this hope we have and hold onto. Occasionally we need to remind ourselves of what is coming.
In Daniel 2:32, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream about a statue with a head of fine gold and the other sections comprised of various metals. Daniel also had a dream that coincided with Nebuchadnezzar's in Daniel 7. Here is a brief combined summary of the meanings:
- The head of gold and the lion is the kingdom of Babylon.
- The chest and arms of silver and the bear is Medo-Persia.
- The waist and thighs of bronze and the leopard are Greece.
- The legs of iron and the terrible beast are the Roman empire.
- The toes are the Roman empire divided.
Then a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God was the stone that struck the statue. Since His birth, we have been living during the transition of power. Daniel explained it like this:
(Daniel 2:44 NKJV) And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
The kingdom of God started with the birth of Jesus Christ, but it began as a small rock and is growing steadily into a large mountain. We have not seen the entire fullness of the kingdom of God manifest yet, but it is going to be glorious! You're going to want to be a part of His coming kingdom. The full kingdom experience will begin when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the Earth in glory, and His reign will begin. Isaiah prophesied about the days that are coming:
(Isaiah 65:21–23 NKJV) "They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them."
The days that are coming will make a wonderful life here look like misery. There will be complete and total peace on the Earth. There will be no more pain, no sickness, disease, violence, terrorism, or wars. The Earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord, and we will each know Him. The pride of man will be dealt with once and for all. We won't be trying to take each other's stuff any longer. There will still be work for us to do, for it tells us His elect will enjoy the work of their hands. It will be a glorious, peaceful time that you won't want to miss. Paul wrote this:
(1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV) But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
We are not living for the weekend, but for The End. This isn't a time to be slacking in your faith. It is a time to press in and know Him more. The Lord includes all the nations of the world in His plan. As well as children, animals, houses, and vineyards. Even the animals will get along, and the lions will eat grass. How big is your hope? Does it include the world?
(Isaiah 11:6–7 NKJV) The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
(Isaiah 11:8–9 NKJV) The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
Oh yes, we can find so many points to argue about in the details, but it is all irrelevant. The Lord will return when He alone is ready, and at a time we do not think. What we happen to believe won't change when He comes. Yet, when we see the fig tree putting forth leaves, we know that summer is near. The Apostle Peter warned us that the Lord is not slack in His return but is long suffering. He wants as many to come to repentance as possible, but the day will come like a thief in the night, and the golden era will begin.
(2 Peter 3:9–10 NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
(Isaiah 65:17 NKJV) "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind."
A reboot of the Earth is coming. The glorious reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Earth is closer now than it ever was before. You don't want to miss it. Ah, it's a great day to be alive.
