Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther: "Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who...

In the same hour, the fingers of a man's hand came out and wrote near the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace. The king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king's face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and ...

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this ma...

Hell on Earth

  • He said to them, 'Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.' Mark 16:15 WEB

Jesus spoke these words to the eleven Apostles before He ascended to heaven. There is so much to be said about this, but today we cover 'The Gospel.' The word Gospel means glad tidings, good or joyful news. We are to proclaim the 'good and joyful news' to the whole creation.

The good news: Lord Jesus the King is returning and His kingdom will be established on the earth, just as it is in heaven. He died to take away the sins of the world, and He will take yours away today if you let Him.

The earth will be restored and become the paradise that it was created to be. The wolf and the lamb will graze together (Isaiah 11:6). The lion will eat grass. Children will be able to play with cobras (11:8). There will be no more sickness, pain, or death, no more child abuse, and no one will hurt anyone else.

People today need hope more than ever before. I know from experience that people that have nothing to live for, are not threatened by hell. They feel they are already there. Like an injured animal backed into a corner, more threats are not helping them come out of it. Many are living in their own hell, right here on earth.

What they need is a light in the darkness, a way out. Jesus can give them that and make their life meaningful again. It is not too late. As long as you have breath, there is hope. When you share the good and joyful news with someone, do it lovingly, or not at all.

Prayer: Father please guide me today and help me make the right decisions. Let me see the hurting through Your eyes. Take away my pain and fill my heart with Your love. Speak to me and through me, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Group News: The FAAD theme of the week is the focus on humor to drive away the holiday blues! Feel free to post things that tickle your funny bone :). Be sure to check in at Creation Photographers to participate in the theme of Water! The group is honoring the fact that Jesus is our Living Water! David and Dianna Wyles
David and Dianna Wyles This is a dark and broken world. WE need God's light! We need to be God's light in this world! I can't tell you how many times I have held on to just a thread of hope! But that one tiny thread of hope has pulled me through some pretty tough spaces in life! Without people shining light and bringing hope, dispair would surely have taken hold to stay. Jesus is the best news of all! Many times in my dispair God has ministered to me through good people bringing me hope and truth. RHM is one of those places and many people here have been a bright and shining light to raise my hopes and keep me from falling deep into depression. Sure I have depressed moments but I am able to come here for prayer and encouragement. I know certain truths that the devil can not take away from me anymore. I have stronger faith to get me through those tough times and I have so much desire to share God's good news! Now if my desires and my income could go hand in hand! Wouldn't it be grand to get paid to encourage others? God will lead me where he wants me and who knows... maybe it will be my hearts desire somehow  and I'll get paid to help others be encouraged somehow :) Thank you Pastor for an uplifting message this morning! Blessings   Pastor's Prayer: Father I thank You for all that You do for me. Forgive me of the things that I have done and said wrong, wash me and I will be clean. Teach me, and I will understand better. I want more of You in my life Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt AMEN!!!, I pray that I will share Jesus Christ to this lost world, through the Holy Spirit. I would just like to share my devotion I read this morning. Romans 8:1, There is now no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 1John 1:9, If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from ALL unrighteousness. Too many sincere Christians, facing failures, berate themselves unmercifully and keep asking forgiveness. Each of us should memorize, hang on the mirror, and make forever our own the ringing truth of Romans8:1. Not only does God not condemn us; He even brings blessings from the ashes of our failures.    By Gini Andrews

Carol Pady
Carol Pady Amen! I belong to The Pocket Testament League. When I leave a tip I also leave a Pocket Testiment, (the Gospel of John) . If I reach out to a homeless person, or anyone else  I give them one. It's a great way to share the Good News. They are available through their website for a small donation. If you cannot afford to donate, other members  pay for you. They have a variety of covers to choose from. These have come in very handy for me, it gives me the ability to share the Gospel without saying anything.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield Oh how I can relate to today's devotional! For many years, I told my parents the same thing: How could Hell possibly be worse than the life I'm living here on earth?" (I became anorexic when I was 14 and back in those days, no one knew what to do with me so I didn't get proper treatment.) But it's true: Where there is breath, there is hopeThere is no such thing as "hopeless", no matter what Satan tries to convince us!

Dorothy Miller
Dorothy Miller I was really inspired by Pastor Todds words today. Sometimes I go through dark and depressing feelings, especially when it comes to my health, and my struggle to be able to do a lot of things for myself. But when I think about it, I thank God for the privilege of having as much ability to move as I do. I continue to pray that He will bless me with spiritual, physical, and mental healing strengthening my faith, brush away my fears and tears and go on with life.                                                                                                                                 Thank You
