The Vineyard from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. I have always admired Amos, who was a shepherd in a field when the Lord told him to go and prophesy to King Jeroboam in Bethel. The priest Amaziah told him to prophesy somewhere else. They weren't interested in what the Lord had to say, but A...

Then Satan answered Yahweh, and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing? Haven't you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth your hand now, and touch all t...

Body Shaping

  • For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot would say, 'Because I'm not the hand, I'm not part of the body,' it is not therefore not part of the body. If the ear would say, 'Because I'm not the eye, I'm not part of the body,' it's not therefore not part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be? 1 Corinthians 12:14 WEB

The human body is made up of many parts, and each part is made up of many cells, and each cell is made of even smaller parts like chromosomes. All of it works together to make a healthy body, and every part has it's own job. It's quite an amazing structure.

The heart pumps blood while the lungs pump oxygen. In their own thoughts, their job is the most important part of their existence. Different parts will never agree on which job is actually most important, because it is certainly theirs. The fact is, they are both right. We need both the heart and lungs for the body to live.

Many times in our walk with Jesus we will meet other Christians that just simply don't think like we do. One is deep into politics, another is into mission work, yet another is involved in something else entirely, but it takes all of this to make the body of Christ work.

When we attend our local church, the welcome team greets us at the door, people work at the coffee counter, in the children's church, in the nursery, in the praise team, some run the sound, lighting, projectors, recordings, cameras, another speaks a message, others are on the prayer team. Its takes everyone working together to build a healthy community.

As Paul told us, we are all a part of the body of Christ and one part is not more important than another. There is no top or bottom in God's eyes, as we are all His children. Jesus told us that the greatest among you, will be your servant (Mark 10:43, Matt. 23:11). Wherever you find yourself, work like you are working directly for God and you will be rewarded (Col. 3:23).

Do not get sidetracked by others that will try and turn you back from following your own calling in this life. They are another part of the body and they cannot do the job that God created for you, nor will they understand your desire. Neither can you be satisfied doing what they are called to do. Each of us are unique in our gifts and our calling in life.

Find what you are passionate about, that seems to come naturally, and follow it. Don't strive to be like someone else. Serve your heart out wherever you are and God will raise you up in due time.

Prayer: Father please put me where I need to be and help me recognize the gifts that You have placed in my life. Stir me up. Wake me up. Guide me onto the path that You have laid out for me and make it so clear that I know that it can only be You, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Good morning and happy Sunday! Thank you all so much for being part of Refreshing Hope Ministries. We so appreciate all of you who are here to support us, encourage us, and participate in this online church! We pray that the Lord blesses you with a restful and refreshing day. As always, if you are in need of prayer, we are here for you. Just go to the Prayer link and send in your request. The Prayer area is private, so you will only see your requests, unless you are a Prayer Partner. You will also need to be signed in to do this, because that allows us to send you replies :)! Thank you again and God bless!

David and Dianna Wyles Amen! We all have our part to do :) Thank you for this timely lesson and reminder to not be in strife over others abiltities and talents. God made each of us in a very unique and wonderful way! We all matter ... thats the thing to remember! not one of us is less in the Fathers eyes so WE shouldn't be considering anyone as less either. Katrina Whitfield
Katrina Whitfield Good morning everyone.  Giving honor to our father in heaven  for another beautiful day. The lesson today is really great. Sometimes we do wish we could  be  or do what others do and it's so touching to understand to ask God to  show u where u should  be.  Everyone has something to offer we just have to ask God to reveal it to us. Amen

Deleted Member Amen, all we have to do is  ask Jesus what gifts He has for us and how we can use them. May we all be faithful in serving Jesus, just the way He wants us too.

Mark Duell
Mark Duell Amen. I find it more enjoyable to serve than to lead. Leading takes on a whole new set of responsibilities that you need to be spiritually ready for. Sometimes your asked to lead and sometimes your asked to serve. You need to be humble and ready to do either. May our RHM family have a blessed day that our Lord has made. May you help us prepare our hearts to go back to work and be that shining light that others are drawn to. We know we are only men, weak and wretched. But you have stood in the gap for us. You have made us blemish free in the sight of your Father. So use us Lord, use us as your tools, your instruments to further your kingdom. I humbly ask this in your name Jesus.

Kathy Banfield I didn't think there was a place for me in my church--until I discovered Helping Hands Ministry! Now I'm crocheting and knitting scarves for the homeless. I found my "niche", and I'm doing what I love to do in service of others.

Carol Pady
Carol Pady I have found that all my experiences in life have developed my qualifications to serve in different areas of Christ's church. Even the darker experiences have given me compassion for those who are still walking those paths.  As i continue to 'experience" life it is molding me into the daughter that God wants me to be. It defines my character and it is evolving me slowly from a cocoon into that unblemished buttefly that will meet Him face to face.

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt Amen. This reminds me of Esther that was in the right place at the right time for a purpose. So glad that she went to the king knowing that she might be killed. God used her in a mighty way. Reminds me that I can do all things through Christ , Who strengthens me. I need to pray bold prayers, and expect God to answer big. I serve a big God. I pray that I will serve in the place God has put me.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler Like this msg...believe scripture.  At different times in my life I have had a passion.  Got minister in some of them.  Illness came & set me back.  Spent a lot of time with the Lord.  Try to yet although when company is in out of time it has been difficult.  Alone time treasured when possible 4 had colds incl me some plus anesthesia hang over from pain shot.  New puppy also.  Feel weary.  A lot of work before, during and time is up soon.  Trying to keep focus on the Lord to watch attitude and let God have things in his on hands.  Felt terrific challenges.  Spiritual & human.  Passion to be with Him & hear Him.  Like encouraging women...young & old.  Not enough Christian woman time.  Can't find a time or place I belong.  Experienced cliques & religiositys too difficult.  I wait upon the Lord.  Some day!  Blessings Pastor Dion!!
