Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:31'33 ESV
One of the sweetest testimonies that I ever heard was from a missionary visiting our church. While on a plane heading to the mission field, she dug through her purse trying to find a pen to make notes with, but she could not find one. She was also hungry because she had not eaten before the flight, and they did not serve food on the plane. She normally carried a pack of crackers for such a time, but had none with her.
The missionary had brought along one Bible to give away, and when the plane landed, she started looking for a native to give it to. Finally, she found a woman that she could communicate with and offered her the bible. The woman burst into tears and explained that she had been praying for a Bible for one whole year. The woman then reached into her purse for money but explained that she only had a pen, and a pack of crackers which she handed to the missionary.
If it matters to you, it matters to God. The small things in your life that you would not pray about, He knows about. When we get wrapped up in ourselves, we miss so much of what He has to offer. Place the Lord at the center of your life and these things will automatically happen. He has the pen and the crackers waiting.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I seek Your face and a deeper relationship with You today. I know that You will take care of my needs and fulfill the desires of my heart. Lord I put You first, in the name of Jesus I pray.
