The heavens are the heavens of Yahweh; But the earth has he given to the children of men. Psalms 115:16 WEB
I watched my son wrestle with connecting the wiring harness to the motherboard of the computer that he was building. I could have done it for him, but he needed to learn to do this himself, and that the plug only fits one way. He wanted a gaming computer for his sixth Christmas, so being a computer tech, I bought him something much better: All the parts of a gaming computer in a big box. Then I let him assemble it himself, install everything from scratch so that he would take care of it, and know every part inside of it.
I supervised while he built it, and gave him pointers to help him avoid the major mistakes, like keeping himself grounded to avoid ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and smoking the parts. When he got stumped, I helped him, or when he asked me to, but besides that, I just watched quietly. When the project was complete, he had much more than a computer, he had confidence and experience that his peers did not have. Later when the computers would break at his school, they would come get him to fix them.
Heaven is God's home, but the earth, God has given to the children of man. He watches us from above as we would watch our children put together a jigsaw puzzle, a model car, or a computer. He is there, and perfectly able to help us, He could do it better than we could, but He will not step in uninvited. He provides what we need, guides us, and He will help us when we ask Him to. He wants us to grow in faith and the confidence that He has got our back, to know that we are not alone here.
Would you take away your child's model car and assemble it yourself? Would you do it all for them? Would not that not rob the experience from them? Enjoy your life, and when you do need help, pray. That is our way of getting help when we need it, but do not expect a lot of help that you did not ask for.
Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You today for all that You have given me. I choose to believe that You are there for me when I need You most. Please guide me this day and help me put all of this together correctly, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Note: "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chron 7:14). If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

What a blessing, Pastor Dion! The audio library page is easy to navigate and I truly appreciate the pop-out player, as I have many tabs open during my computer sessions and this allows me to keep the music flowing. Well done! 😊🎶

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
