Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers; But his delight is in Yahweh's law; On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That brings forth its fruit in its se...

When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8...

More Than Enough

  • Yahweh said to Gideon, By the three hundred men who lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand; and let all the people go every man to his place. So the people took food in their hand, and their trumpets; and he sent all the men of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the three hundred men: and the camp of Midian was beneath him in the valley. Judges 7:7 WEB

Facing an army that could not even be counted, Gideon and his men walked down to the water. He had started this mission with 32,000 men which was already too small a number. God then told Gideon to send all the men that were fearful back home, and over two-thirds (22,000) of the army left (Judges 7:3).

Now there were only 10,000 men left with him and to make matters worse, God wanted to divide those as well so he took them down to the water and God sorted them again. When Gideon came up from the water, he had only 300 men left with him, but God said that was enough to accomplish the mission, and it was.

Gideon had more than enough in front of him, but he did not realize it. He was scared when he had 32,000 men with him, but was victorious with 300. Jesus took a few fish and fed thousands (Matt. 15:38, Mark 6:44). Peter preached a sermon that caused 3,000 people to come to the Lord in one meeting (Acts 2:41).

Sometimes we have more than enough right in front of us, yet we do not see it. We often learn that God has already provided what we need, we just don't know how to use it or we let fear cause us to not believe Him. Our limitation is always what we do not know, not what we don't have. 'My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge' (Hosea 4:6).

Prayer: Father, please help me see the things that You have already placed in my life and teach me to use them properly. Lord I know that You know best and I submit to Your will for my life. Teach me what I need to know. Guide me into all that You have for me. I am Yours, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Happy Sunday, we pray you all have a blessed Sabbath! For those who have not yet joined us, we would like to invite you to take part in our online church here. One of our members described it as a place to "learn more about my journey with God and have others supporting me thru it". Susan Pedited: October 25, 2015 Thank you for this faith filled word. As an unemployed single mom, things are tight, but God always makes a way for us and I've learned to trust Him.  I am now facing the loss of a chunk of money each month that helps us survive. I am grateful we serve an amazingly creative God who doesn't know the word impossible.

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt What a big God we serve. He wants to show us daily what He can do with our lives. He does not need us, He wants us to serve Him. He wants a personal relationship with each one of us. We tend to look for the big things, while God is looking always, for us to trust Him with the little things. I thank my Heavenly Father for every thing He teaches me. I will always pray for His wisdom to teach me what He wants me to learn. I want this kind of relationship with my LORD.

Laura B. Martinez
Laura B. Martinez Another wonderful reminder for us Pastor Todd. God has given us so much but we tend to focus on what we don't have rather then what we do. Sometimes we already have what we need and don't realize it.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield I think "fear" is the key word here. Satan puts fear in us and tryies to convince us we'll never succeed, we'll never be good enough, we don't have what it takes. And that sneaky devil always seems to know just when to strike--when we're at our weakest! I thank God for the support I find here at RHM and pray others will also find solace and strength through Pastor Todd's words.Thank you!
