Then Jesus told His disciples, If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:24 ESV
I stood at a crossroad in my life and wondered which path to take. At this point, I could continue pursuing a career as a musician who played all night and slept all day. Or I could enroll in Bible college and just trust God. I had to make a choice.
On one side I felt like I was giving up my life, certainly all the fun in it. On the other, I had this nagging feeling that the Lord wanted me to do this to prepare for something else. Somehow I knew there was more to life than this. I ended up surrendering to His will and enrolled in school. Soon enough, I had lost every friend and fan that I had, just as I thought I would.
After surrendering to His will, my life changed. Where I thought that I was losing the life I had, I actually found something so much greater. I had actually found my life, and the fun soon began.
God has a plan and a purpose for you, but it requires total surrender to see it. At first it looks like sacrifice, but in the end the life that He gives you back is so much greater than what you gave Him. When God gives you a chance to lay your life down for Him, surrender.
Prayer: Father, I will go wherever you tell me. I surrender to Your will. Use me as You see fit and give me Your vision, in the name of Jesus.
Note: Blessed Good Friday to you all!

Site update #586: I completed a large update to the Audio Library on the left sidebar. There is now a live service archive of all past services, full-length in case you miss a service and want to catch up, as well as all of our original music. You can download the .mp3 files directly to your device now to listen when you don't have internet. I also added a pop-out player so you can listen without remaining on the page. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. 😀

sounds great. I know that will be useful for me...need to write that down. Hope the Todd family have a blessed Saturday and Sunday. I do believe God gave us those 2 special days for His sake and our sake! Work hard or volunteer (myself) hard through the week. We get our rewards here on Earth and rewards in Heaven.
