The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things. Acts 17:24 WEBWhen I was growing up, we us...

We get to choose. Once when Jesus was preaching from a boat, He told a parable about a man that sowed wheat in H...

Snow White

  • Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh: 'Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land Isaiah 1:18 WEB

As I looked out over the fresh snow that now covered our home, smoke slowly rose from the chimney. It was a rare day in South Carolina when snow covered the house and I thought how truly beautiful that it was. So white, so pure, so fresh and clean, with each snowflake being unique and beautiful. All the dead and brown was gone, everything was gleaming white. It reminded me of the touch of God's hand on someone's life.

Some of us have been dragged through the mud of life and are as black as coal. We have been told by some that we are nothing, but God says that we are something. He will completely remove our sins and wash us as white as snow when we put our trust in Jesus (Rom 10:9).

No matter what you have done in the past, you can now be clean and free. God knows you by name. Pure, fresh, clean, forgiven, a unique and beautiful child of God showing the touch of God's hand on their life. Renewed, refreshed, revitalized, with the dead and brown past gone.

Do not let your past mistakes still determine who you are today. God can take away the past and make your life shine. Hold your head up and act like the child of God that you were created to be. Stand up straight. You have nothing to be ashamed of. He will make your past into a powerful testimony.

Prayer: Father I thank You for forgiving me, cleansing me, and washing me as white as snow. Why do I care what others think when You love me so much? Help me understand the fullness of Your love and live it in my life today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Deanne Rascas
Deanne Rascas For the most part I have forgiven myself of sins from the past, except for one. Whenever I think how much I hurt someone I loved, I still cry about it because it's too late to say I'm sorry. She died without ever knowing how much I loved her and she was such a kind and wonderful person! I know if she can hear me that she has forgiven me, but I just can't seem to let go of the guilt.

Albert Chauedited: September 26, 2015 Deanne, she is in a good place with God and has certainly forgiven you. Yes, it is hurtful just to think what you could have said while she is alive, but that's what the devil using to get a hold onto us to keep on looking at the rearview mirror while going through life with regret.

Deleted Member Always know when Jesus has forgiven, He never remembers it no more and your friend wouldn't want you to be sad , she would only want happiness for you. Lay it all at the feet of Jesus, let him carry your worries and your burdens, because Ha can handle things, we can't and He will see you through. God bless you.

Carol Pady Amen! When we confess our sins , He is faithful to cleanse us . Daily confession pleases Him. He leads us on paths of righteousness for His namesake.  We should only look back to see how far we have come. Everyday we live is a new day with opportunities for spiritual growth.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield Thank you--I think we all need to be reminded of this when Satan tries to convince us otherwise. When I worked in the county jail, many prisoners came to know god because of Isaiah's words and Jesus' promise of the same. I often wonder if those men still believe and kept the faith!

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt Beliving God by faith makes such a difference in how I act on that faith. It is Christ faithfulness that I am free. He chose to die for me.  And that His father raised Him from the dead so I can live a new life, I died when Christ dided and have been raised to a new life and have the Holy Spirit in my life to guide me and teach me all things. I thank God He has washed me white as snow and He,  will never, never remimber my sins ever again.

Natalie Carey
Natalie Carey Thank you Pastor Dion. I have been engaged in nasty verbal battles with my husband since I am seeking a divorce. I have said and done things that were mean and spiteful. I want this divorce to be amicable but alas it may not be so. But after I have let go with my verbal missiles I usually go to my room and ask for God's forgiveness. I can't believe what is happening and it's hard to believe that God forgives me because my effort to change my approach is not succeeding right now. I do pray for mercy for myself as well as for my husband. I want the Lord to be merciful to both of us. It never ceases to amaze me how your daily devotional is in tune with my life. You are a wonderful gift that I look forward to reading during the day. I thank God for your ministery and pray that your ministry will always be there when I need it.

Vicky McRae Thank you so much for this message. There is so many times that I have to fight and put down the words, that my earthly father spoke to me that he was ashamed of me and that I wouldn't be anything.. So very thankful for the word of God, that tells me who I really am.

Albert Chau
Albert Chauedited: September 26, 2015 Over the years we've accumulated more stress and more pain than we can handle. Or more guilt we deal with everyday. Whatever the pain that's accumulated during all the years, there is Someone who has loved us all along who's been saying all these years, "If only you would let Me have your life. I could do with it what you've never been able to do." I think that's today message. The Son of God promises to make us to become a new creation, a new beginning as fresh as snow white.

Janet Marsh-Lord
Janet Marsh-Lord Thank you for your message. It reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5.17. Therefore if any person is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone and the new has come. Its just like the new snow falling and creating a new amazing landscape. We've all gone or are going through bad times and its wonderful to know Jesus is walking along side us and loves us no matter what.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler I love the part of "come and reason now".  That seems to be a difficult thing to do with people with minds made up on a certain decision or idea.  Learned that growing up at home first.  Just no reasoning.  Is it truly snowing where you are now?  Seems early.

Dorene Glaze
Dorene Glaze Norman and I were talking about this message this morning and we both enjoyed it ,then we talked about not only are we washed white as snow but as far as God is concerned we dont have a past ,He threw our sins as far as the east is from the west and he remembers them no more ,I choose to remember them no more .Like Corrie Ten Boom said ,our sins are cast into the deepest sea  with  a sign that says ,No Fishing Allowed ! Praise God we are all washed white as snow and our sins are not remembered and no one is allowed to fish them out of the sea of forgetfulness! These daily devotionals are good to start the day ,great topics and they help me keep my mind on the Lord and remind me of my witness .
