A Lighthouse

  • Yahweh said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them." But Noah found favor in Yahweh's eyes. This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God. Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Genesis 6:7'10 WEB.

When the Earth had become corrupt, and the people's thoughts were only evil all the time, the Lord decided to start over, to reboot the human race. Only Noah was different from the rest. He was walking close to God, he was trying to do what was right, and therefore he found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah, his wife, three sons, and their wives were spared and survived the coming flood. Eight people were saved through Noah's faith in God (1Peter 3:20, 2Peter 2:5). "By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house" (Hebrews 11:7).

Scripture doesn't state that Noah's wife was particularly righteous, nor his sons or their wives. It only mentions Noah's relationship with God. "Noah was a righteous man," and "Noah walked with God." In the same way, when Lot was rescued from Sodom, his wife and daughters also went out of the city with him.

Let us be like Joshua, who said, "And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15).

In 1 Kings 11:31, when the people of Israel began to backslide and Solomon turned away from following Him, God decided to divide Israel. He told Jeroboam that He would give him ten pieces (tribes). But because of His servant David, He wouldn't give him all twelve. So David's life continued to affect how God treated his family line generations later. Isn't that amazing?

Serving God will affect those around you and those you care about. When you walk with God, it can influence your family line for generations. Your acts alone may not save them, but you will be a light to them, and God will draw their hearts. God can make you a lighthouse for those in need. Even the light of a small candle is bright when in complete darkness, and you may be the only light those around you can see. So keep that light burning.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for saving my family. I pray that my entire family comes to know You personally. Please touch them, draw them to You, get their attention. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Amen. Save my family Lord. Draw them to You. I declare every one of my unsaved family for Jesus. Satan take the liberal deceptions off them. Convict them of their sins. Put Christians in their lives to speak Jesus to them. In Jesus Christ Name.

AMEN and AMEN!!! Thank you dear Heavenly Father for reaching out to me, it was Your arm that brought salvation to me, but not only me, but my husband as well, because you hear and honor our prayers when we pray according to your holy will that none should perish, but all have everlasting life!! You saved some of my immediate family, but there are still my siblings that cannot forgive one another-how can we ask to be forgiven if we cannot forgive-so dear Lord I'm lifting up especially my siblings to fully surrender to you and to be drawn and sealed by the Hl. Spirit; and I also lift up my grandson who was backslidden, but wearing the consequences, and his wife that she also would completely surrender to you, my Lord, as they have two little ones to raise in the love and admonition of You, and also, I'm lifting up our daughter to remain strong in her faith, not to waiver and have your joy in her heart again, and I also lift up Dorothy who's in her 90's, who has gone through so much in her life, that even though she's going blind see's you my Lord for who you are, I ask all of this from you my Lord and God, and thank you already for what you have done!!! Blessed be Your name forever and ever, AMEN!!! (h5) (h5)

Amen!! The biggest thing on my mind everyday is to make sure I do everything in my power to make sure my two grandchildren get baptized and know th e Lord personally. Unfortunately, I have their father to contend with and he is not a believer and he doesnt want them to go to church or pray, he is evil and selfish. I pray that God will change his heart every day and bring my dear granddaughters who are 6 and 9 to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I would also appreciate anyone elses prayers  if you are so inclined to keep Ainsley and Quinn in your prayers.Thank you brothers and sisters in Christ!
