He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, saying, "There was a judge in a certain city who didn't fear God, and didn't respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, 'Defend me from my adversary!' He wouldn't for a while, but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.' " Luke 18:1'5 WEB.The widow in this story kept returning to the judge with her problem, though he had refused to help her several times. She returned to him again and again with her request until the judge gave her what she asked. She was persistent and really wanted it.
In Mark 7:27, there was a gentile woman who asked Jesus to help her daughter. At first, Jesus refused and said that it wasn't right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs. In other words, it wasn't yet time for the Gentiles to experience the Kingdom of God, for He came to the Jews first.
Yet, she persisted and said that even the dogs get to eat the crumbs under the table. Jesus was so impressed with her determination and humility that He did what she asked, even though it wasn't the right time.
There are times when you have to be persistent. Pray until you get an answer. In 1 Kings 18:43, Elijah went back and prayed for rain seven times before the small cloud rose out of the sea. In Matthew 26:44, on the night of His betrayal, Jesus went back and prayed the same words three times. He tells us to pray always and not lose heart (Luke 18:1).
There is a spiritual battle going on, and you are in it, even if you choose not to be. Ignorance will not protect you from it. So keep on praying, keep on seeking, keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. Sometimes, you have to pray it in.
Don't give up just because you prayed once and don't see it yet. Elijah would have never gotten his rain if he had stopped after the first prayer, though he was a mighty prophet who raised the dead. Elijah continued praying until he saw it come to pass.

Yes, amen Lord.
My Brother and I was having a conversation on the phone several weeks ago and we were talking about our prayer to God. My Brother would fast and pray every week and he was telling me how he was seeking God about a particular thing he wanted but he still did not get it. I was telling my brother that I had been praying for something as well and I was waiting for a change in my situation. But I had also mentioned to my Brother that I was having a conversation with a coworker and my coworker was talking to me about what I had prayed for and i never told him what I had prayed for. So I explained to Brother that God was letting me know that he was listening to my prayer. One time I prayed for years for something I wanted and I got it 3 or 4 years later. But I was so happy to have my prayer answered that those years felt like a couple of days after the Lord Blessed me.
AMEN and AMEN, Pastor!!! What an example for us to follow: Pray without ceasing - Knock till the door opens - Be persistant and don't give up - Sound off and make a noice till you are being heard!! (h5)
I'm waiting on you my God. Praise God Amen
Amen!
