The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn. Ready or Not

  • Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther: "Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who knows if you haven't come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:13-14 WEB.

Esther didn't feel she was ready for the task when her uncle Mordecai asked her to speak to the King. To enter the King's chamber uninvited then was a death sentence. Esther felt like many things needed to be done and plans to be made before seeing the King.

Then Mordecai told her that if she kept silent, that God would use someone else, but she and her house would perish. So Esther stepped out in faith, took a risk, and pleaded with the King, and God used her to save her people.

Often, when God asks us to do something, we start making excuses much like this: "I am not ready yet. I am too busy! I can't afford to do that! There is so much I need to do. I need to get my life straightened out first, and then I will do it. I really don't have the time. My life is a mess! I am not good enough. I can't do that!"

Anytime we begin to look at ourselves and our abilities, we will never measure up to the task that God will give us. If we could do it alone, we wouldn't need Him. So He will scale the job accordingly. We will always need His help. When the time comes, you will have to say, "Ready or not, here I go."

When you feel God tugging on your heart, don't wait. Do it right then. Don't try and "put your house in order first" because the enemy will ensure that it never happens. When you start walking with God, that's when your life will come back together. When God comes calling, don't make Him wait. Go for it. He will cause you to have all that you need, and when He is with you, who can stand against you?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me clearly see the world through Your eyes and my part in it. Give me a fresh vision and help me get in tune with You. I want to be a part of what You are doing today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
