Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther: "Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who...

In the same hour, the fingers of a man's hand came out and wrote near the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace. The king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king's face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and ...

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this ma...

The Dream Police

  • His brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, and they hated him, and couldn't speak peaceably to him. Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him all the more. Genesis 37:4 WEB.

The Lord gave Joseph a dream when he was just a young boy. In the dream, He showed Joseph that he would be promoted above his brothers one day. Joseph was so excited that he told his brothers about it, but they became even more jealous than before. Joseph was already the favorite son in the family, and now this. "Who does he think he is? He is just our little brother."

Poor Joseph traveled a long, hard road before that dream came to pass. He was sold into slavery by his brothers. He was falsely accused of attempted rape and served time in prison. Yet, at God's appointed time, when it was supposed to happen, the dream came to pass, and his brothers came and bowed down before him as the new ruler of Egypt. The naysayers couldn't stop Joseph's dream. Instead, their actions to prevent him from being promoted brought it to pass.

Be careful of sharing the things God has told you with the wrong people. Let the little seed grow, and don't cast your pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6). Often the ones closest to you, who you think you should share it with, will be the first to dash your precious dream to the ground and stomp on it. "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house." ~ Jesus Christ. (Mark 6:4).

Hang on to your dreams. Remember them, write them in a journal, and be careful who you share them with. There will always be those that want to keep you beneath them or expect you to follow the path they are on. When you start to rise up, they may try to bring you back down. Like the real police, anything you tell the dream police can and will be used against you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please set a guard over my mouth and give me wisdom about what I share with others. Please give me the grace to keep my mouth shut and just smile when needed. Lead me into all that You have for me, and make Your thoughts my thoughts. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.' (Philippians 4:6-7) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network
