The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn. Things You Do Not Know

  • God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. She went, filled the bottle with water, and gave the boy drink. Genesis 21:19 WEB.

The hours passed by while I struggled with a bug in a computer program I had written. I finally gave up and walked out of the room to get away from it for a bit. Why did this have to be so annoyingly difficult today, I thought. It should have been a ten-minute job, but I have spent all day on it. Exhausted and out of ideas, I sat down and prayed about it for a few minutes. Then suddenly, I knew just what the problem was. I went back in, and within a few minutes, I isolated the bug, fixed it, and the program worked fine.

My problem wasn't something I didn't have but what I didn't know. This is always the case with God's people. It's never what you don't have. It's what you don't know. No amount of tools or resources will fix what you don't know. We don't even know what we don't know until it is revealed to us.

The Lord can reveal the answer to you. Then once you have it, you will no longer have the problem. In the scripture above, Hagar, and her son, were thirsting to death in the desert. Then God opened her eyes to see a hidden spring of water near her, and they were fine. Problem solved.

The Lord said: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). James wrote: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5).

Don't limit the wisdom and knowledge of the Creator of the universe to the Bible. The Holy Spirit knows more about technology, medicine, physics, history, and so much more than humanity ever will. He can give you wisdom in all areas of life if you take the time to ask Him.

There have been so many times when I didn't know what to do, but God would come to my rescue when I took the time to ask Him. Joshua and the Israelites became bound by a treaty with the enemy because they did not inquire of the Lord first (Joshua 9:14). Don't be like them.

When you are tempted to say, 'If only I had'.' Get somewhere quiet, calm your mind, and pray that God will reveal what you may be missing. You already have more than you think, but we often cannot see it until the Lord reveals it.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please open my eyes to see the resources around me You have already provided. I know in my heart that You are the answer. All wisdom, knowledge, and resources are under Your control. Please share them with me today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, group leader, Dianna Wyles: 1 John 3:1 "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." ~ As you probably guessed 'Father Moments/ Dad Time' will be our next fun-tastic Father honoring theme this week. 'Standing Still' will be the theme for the week of the 25th through July 1st, as I will be taking off to support my granddaughter's spinal fusion surgery. Our themes are wide open for creative interpretation so have fun and give a shout out to a Poppa figure (or two) in your life this week. Have a fantastic week in full confidence that we are guided by our Heavenly Father, today and always. See you again in a couple of weeks with the good news of Lilly's recovering progress, Lord willing. God bless, everyone! Here is the link: Creation Photographers
