For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. Habakkuk 2:3 WEB.About thirty-five years ago, the Lord gave me a word that I would pioneer new things in ministry and fo...

The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

Surrender

  • Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it. Matthew 16:24'25 WEB.

I once stood at a crossroads in my life and wondered which path to take. I could continue pursuing a career as a nocturnal musician who played all night and slept all day. Or I could enroll in bible college and trust God to give me a future. He gave me the invitation, but I had to make a choice.

On the one hand, I felt like I was giving up my life, or certainly all the fun in it. On the other, I had a nagging feeling the Lord wanted to prepare me for something better. Somehow I knew there was more to life than this. I ended up surrendering to His call and enrolled in school.

After surrendering to His will, my life began to change. I lost every friend and fan I had, just as I thought I would. Yet, I actually found something so much greater. I found my destiny, and soon the fun began.

God has a plan and a purpose for you, but it requires total surrender to see it. At first, it looks like a tremendous sacrifice, but in the end, the life He gives you back is so much greater than what you gave Him. When God gives you a chance to lay your life down for Him, surrender.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I will go wherever you tell me. I surrender to Your will. Please use me as Your hands, and let me see the world through Your eyes. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

So true, Pastor Dion. Through God's leading I see retirement as His invitation to His next plan for my life. What a joy to surrender and anticipate His goodness! Thank you, Lord! Amen

Amen! I too have surrendered to the calling and I have not looked back or ever regretted it. Jesus is the best thing that has come into my life. I have been so blessed the last 30 years. Yes I have had trials and bad things have happened in my life but God is Faithful always and He has blessed me more than I can imagine, if I had it to do all over again, I would choose Jesus!!!
