If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

Walk on Water from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. An extraordinary event unfolds in Matthew chapter 14, one that is unparalleled elsewhere in the Bible: a common fisherman defying the laws of nature by walking on water. When He is Near

  • Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7 WEB.

I am a morning person. I like to get the most important work of the day done as early as possible. Then in the afternoon, I enjoy playing music, writing songs, gaming, and other pursuits. I like to spend some quiet time with the Lord in the morning before my brain is drained of all its energy.

However, I was called to pray every day at about 3 PM for a couple of months. It became a driving desire, a hunger, and the most important thing in my life for a season. Rather than doing the usual things that I would normally do, I would go into my room each day, close the door, and pray for one to three hours.

It wasn't your normal praying, either. I lay on the floor with my face on the carpet in tears, and the Lord's presence covered me like a warm blanket. There was such a sweet fellowship that it was all that I wanted to do. Eventually, it lifted, and life returned to normal. Then I returned to my morning prayer time.

It was a very rewarding experience, but it preceded a very dark time in my life when my faith was strained to the breaking point. I am unsure what I would have done if I had not spent the time in prayer leading up to it. When I finally came out of the test, He pushed me into full-time ministry. The time I spent in prayer brought the breakthrough.

The Lord is always with us, but there are special times when He wants you to come aside and spend some quality time with Him. These are times when He draws near to you, calls you to take a break from the daily routine, and to spend time with Him. He uses it to bring new fire into your life, inspiration, and to prepare you for what is coming. If you feel the Lord tugging at your heart and prompting you to come aside for a while, don't neglect Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You so much. Please have Your way in my life. Lead me, and I will follow. Call me, and I will come. Open the door, and I will go through it. I want more of You in my life today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.' (Philippians 4:6-7) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

AMEN!!! While I was so sick and at the same time taking care of my husband as well I felt so drained, but then at the same time I was still worrying about the 2 elderly people that I was taking care of which took hold of me to the point that I couldn't really get any rest myself! During that time the Lord was working behind the scene knowing that I could no longer go on caring for these people, which totally consumed me, and I contracted Covid from one of them, brought it home to my husband who's 5 years oldr then me, and could have died because . . . But it was PRAYER of the faithful ones, while I couldn't pray anymore or even find words that reached the Lord most high, but He answered! The little elderly lady with her rapidly progressing Lewy Body Dementia and many other health problems became too difficult and too hard to take care of by her husband, was admitted to an assisted living and dementia care unit, and the elderly man who had contracted Covid from someone a couple of days before I got there to take care of him was in the hospital for a while, then a rehab where he got so dehydrated etc. and was then re-admitted again with kidney stones. To make the story short and to summerize it all, and after much soul searching I know that my Lord and God will do what it takes to get our attention, to get my attention, and He did! I'm staying home with my husband, and return to only take care of that little elderly man for a couple of days if the Lord wills it, and if he should survice all the many complications, continuing in prayer for his spiritual well being and salvation for that person and lifting up the the little lady and her husband! There is so much power in prayer, the sincere prayers of the Lord's faithful, saying this with a thankful heart! (h5) (L)
