Signs That Make You Wonder

  One night, I was playing music at a party with our band. When the Lord suddenly presented me with an opportunity to tell them about Him. We went on break, and someone asked me about my faith, for they knew I had recently started attending bible college at night. They wanted to know what inspired me to do that. As I began to tell them about Jesus, several other people gathered around to listen.
  
  It was dark outside, and we were gathered in a circle on the grass. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit drop over me, so I just began saying what He gave me. Before long, a few of the people started yelling, shouting, and moving around. I was so caught up in the Spirit that I thought the Lord was touching them all as well. But in reality, we were all standing by a huge fire ant bed, and they were all being bitten. We literally had ants in our pants. In my mind, I had seen that going differently.
  
  I looked down and saw that my white pants were covered in fire ants up to my knees. For some reason, I had complete peace about it. I remember it seeming a bit surreal at the time. I just reached down and gently brushed all the fire ants all off my legs. I didn't get bitten a single time that night, though I have been many times since then.
  
  One of the men present gave his life to the Lord shortly after. I can't explain what happened that night, but sometimes the Lord does signs that surely make one wonder.
  
  Prayer: Heavenly Father, please make Your presence real to me. Protect me from harm and use me to lead others to You. Provide divine opportunities to tell others about You in my life and help me recognize them. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
