The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are ...

Radically Saved

  • They said to you that In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts. These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. Jude 1:18 WEB

As I sat down in the break room to have lunch and said a prayer over my food, a guy at the next table, who was becoming very annoyed with my faith, started to mock me. I smiled, ate my lunch and left. Like Elijah, I felt that I was the only person in this factory that had any reverence for God at all. I was passionately in love with Jesus at the time and pleasing Him was all that mattered to me. I had become radically saved.

After lunch, someone approached me in secret and explained that they were a Christian as well. They wanted me to know that they were a Christian, but they didnt tell anybody and didnt want anyone else to know because they would be mocked like me.

I explained that I wasnt seeking to be mocked either, but that I would not be ashamed of the Lord. Jesus warned us that if we did, that He would be ashamed of us: For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed (Luke 9:26).

Being mocked is a small price to pay for a relationship. Would you deny knowing your spouse or mother because of what some mocker thinks? If I have to choose between pleasing them or Jesus, they lose. If they fire me, there is another job waiting. If they knock me down, God can lift me up. If they beat me, God is able to heal me. If they kill me then it will only send me to heaven to be with Him. I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (Psalms 56:11).

Pray and build yourself up in the Holy Spirit daily. There will always be scoffers and you have nothing to be ashamed of. A light is meant to shine and not be hidden under a basket (Matt 5:15). Hold your head up and act like you know Jesus on Monday as well as Sunday. It is fun to be radically saved.

Prayer: Father I thank You for giving me another day here. Help me shine Lord. Give me strength to become who You created me to be. Help me stand strong for You in the face of adversity, in the name of Jesus I pray.

David and Dianna Wyles
David and Dianna Wyles Another cry out for bravery. I definately need these reminders to be strong in faith no matter what may come. Even my worst fears. But the Lord is GOOD and he has calmed some of those fears and whispered in my ear to sooth his child. Thank you God for always being with me, through the good, the bad, and all! Thank you for another day and another chance to stand strong for you. Help me shine Lord, give me strength and courage to become who you created me to be Help me stand strong for you in all circumstances and in the face of adversity. Help me know you are always protecting us and keeping that hedge around me and those I love so when adversity happens, I can be brave and strong in your name. In Jesus name ~Amen~  Thank you Pastor Dion, Bless you for being such a good & listening servant of our Lord and Savior. May God bless you abundantly for all you do to bring others to his good and faithful truths :)

Kealtis "Key" Austin Amen! We all should stand for God and His righteousness. Don't be afraid to shout hallelujah in public giving God the glory, the honor, and the praises He so truly deserve. Let us all set aside every weight that so easily besets us.

Nell Neathery
Nell Neathery I am radically saved after learning about radical acceptance 3 years ago before getting my Wellness diploma in 2012.   Since then, I have become NOT ashamed or afraid to tell others about Jesus, even after they say I may be crazy.  I radically accept Him on a daily basis!, especially after having Believer's Baptism, this past November 2015, gratitude month.  I am not crazy, but I may have a positive attitude about the acceptance of the Lord to havr a closer walk with me...gratitude with attitude!

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield I've had the same thing happen to me when I worked in a plastic factory many years ago, when I only worked to support my full-time "job" of training horses--LOL. I recall the mocking and jeers I received for putting up an impromptu home-made Christmas tree because the gloomy place really needed something to lighten it! (The boss took my tree down within hours, and I fear he probably threw it in the trash.) Sometimes I wonder if people who are so afraid of God feel they are sinners beyond rescuing. And yet, when I was employed in the county jail for 7 years, I watched so many hardened criminals come to know the Lord! People are too difficult to figure out, so I think I'll let God take care of His humans. I can pray for us, so that's what I do. Blessings, Kathy

Shelby Casey You got it Kathy, we can only pray for people, pray for them and be faithful in what God asks us todo. I can remember one incident with a girl that mocked me. She happened to need a ride and the Lord nudged me to give her a ride, I was faithful and I am glad I did because she opened up to be that she was truely broken and I was able to pray with her. She kept her distance and I dont' know whatever happened to her after college but I still pray for her now and again when the Lord puts her on my mind.

Sylvia Todd That seems so bizarre to me, because even growing up in a family of non-believers, we always had a Christmas tree! As a kid, I didn't really know what it was for, except that it was fun and we got some presents ;-). Some people!

Michael Griffin
Michael Griffin This is a really good one for me. Thank you once again, Pastor Todd. I can remember my first few days on my job. I told a fellow coworker that I was born again and loved the Lord with all of my heart and soul. Word quickly spread that I was a Christian. For the next several weeks, I was made fun of, mocked and pretty much laughed at. My skin is thick, so I just continued to work, not paying attention to the jokes aimed at me. Interestingly enough, the people started to change around me, slowly. There was less cussing and there seemed to be a peace that had come over some of the nay sayers. I still continued to do my job. I did, a few days later, have some coworkers come to me and ask me how I could put up with the mockery. I simply told them that I choose God over everything that happens in my life. Making fun of me did absolutely nothing to stop me from praising Him! If anything, it made me want Him even more!!! They would call me "Reverend" and I just smiled at them and kept going. Hahaha! I actually enjoyed that one! Don't let ANYONE step on your love for God!! It's not worth it!!! He is everything to me and that will never change! AMEN!!!

Shelby Casey
Shelby Casey Thank you Lord for your Word. Thank you Pastor Dion for sharing his insight into the Word and how to appy it to our lives. It is not fun sometimes to be "different" but then like you said sometimes it is an honor. I was living with roomates in college and I remember them mocking me and calling me a martyr. I won't deny it hurt but it allowed me to build the dependence that I needed on God for Praise. Now for the most part I can even pray for my enemies and truely want the best for them. Lots of times I can see them as lost sheep and not as my enemies at all. The best of all is that I had a closer walk with God and depend on Him to led me and not people. Many years have passed since I have been outwardly mocked but there have been times when I have had to stand up to bullies and a mob type mentality in many different settings. I don't think I would have been able to do those things with out the dependence on God. May all the praise and Glory go to you Lord.

Kate Bergin Thank you for this message, Pastor. Having recently relocated from a region where Christianity has strong prevalence to an environment where there are many different religions mixed with none at all, I have begun to feel Out of my element. This teaching tells me I'm right where God needs me to be.
