My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. John 10:27'29 WEB.The hero of t...

When they began to sing and to praise, Yahweh set ambushers against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were struck. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. When they had finish...

A Living Sacrifice from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Various sacrifices were required under the old covenant. Some of the sacrifices helped feed the priests and those who worked at the temple, but a burnt offering was placed on the altar and completely consumed by fire. You can read about...

Connect To The Vine

  • Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cant bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4 WEB

The ministry of Jesus from the first recorded miracle of turning water into wine, until His resurrection was about three-and-a-half years. He took away the sins of the universe and if we let Him personally, He will takes ours. He changed the world that He lived in.

We labor each day for so many things when in reality, if we just get in tune with Him, we would accomplish so much more and it would be more fulfilling. Like Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus while Martha labored in the kitchen, sometimes we just need to sit and listen. Often though we are like Martha, making sandwiches that no one ordered and just getting tired and frustrated.

Jesus is the Vine, and it is our connection with Him that makes our own life bear fruit. I find that when I spend some quiet time with the Lord before I start my day, pray for a few minutes, read a little scripture and listen, that my day goes so much better. It reminds me of why I am doing this and that I am not just struggling alone in life. After a few minutes alone with the Lord, I am much stronger.

Always include the Lord in Your day. Remember that without Him, you can do nothing of lasting value. Taking just ten minutes to stop, pray and listen, can change your life, those around you, and the world itself.

Prayer: Father strengthen me today and cover me with Your presence. Draw my heart to You Lord and let me see through Your eyes. Use me and make my life count for Your kingdom, in the name of Jesus.

Note: Hello all! Just wanted to let you know that we plan to resume the weekly Bible Study starting NEXT week. This week, we are still pretty busy working on details of the website, so thank you for your prayers and understanding!

Tina G
Tina G I think that sometimes Im Martha and sometimes I'm Mary. When I was younger I was more Martha, trying to keep up appearances, running around trying to keep everyone happy...and yes, what I got was exhausted and empty, with nothing to give anyone.  As I've gotten older and my walk with Jesus matures, I see that being more like Mary benefits me and everyone around me.  Being quiet and listening did not come easy! I found it so hard to turn off my head. With practice my head has quieted down and I feel connected to our heavenly father.

Carol Pady I begin everyday with coffee and Jesus.  Coffee with caffeine to wake me physically and God's word and devotions to wake me spiritually. I can live without the coffee but I can't live without God's word!

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield As my "sig line" says, "A day hemmed in prayer will never unravel"--and it's so true! One day I was in a rush to catch an early bus, and didn't have time to pray--well, I ended up getting on the wrong bus, encountering a dead cat which upset me terribly, and in short, my whole day unraveled before it even began.I'm usually awake much earlier than anyone else in my house, so prayer time is usually not an issue. And I'll especially need it this week! Thanks and blessings, Kathy

Michael Griffin
Michael Griffin Another awesome devotional, Pastor! thank you so much for keeping us all encouraged. we MUST let Him lead the way. If we would just trust in Him, everything else lines up as He would have it in our lives. I've been amazed at how he has changed situations, not only in My life, but those around me as well, that have been "watching" me! Praise His holy name!!!

Liesel aka Lisa Wardle
Liesel aka Lisa Wardle Amen and Amen! I'm and always have been such a hyper person, always trying to be busy doing things. This devotional was a direct message from the Hl. Spirit, and to be more in tune with my Lord and Savior I'll have to slow down, listen and connect, and trust my Lord to take care of things!!! He knows what we need better than we do!!! Praise the Lord, and thank you for your message and your ministry!!!
