His Ways

Isaiah 55:8-11 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

We can base our thoughts on personal experience, and our surroundings. Sometimes we can find ourselves in a situation that looks bleak, or more than we can handle at the time. The circumstances are how we perceive them at the time, and when things feel like they are all coming in on us, our response can be anger, fear, resentment, and brokenness.
The good news is that we dont have to rely on our own thinking. With Jesus, He can make any situation turn around in a split second. His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts. There is hope in that.
We can get in agreement with our Father in heaven and speak promises over our lives, and our specific situations. When we invoke His word into our situation, we know from this scripture that His word does not return to Him void. When we call on the promises in His word in the form of a prayer, there is nothing more powerful in this world. We can be the strongest men and women in the physical, and be able to bench press 350 lbs. and yet crumble to our knees at a poor diagnosis. We can run multi- million dollar corporations, and have no control over the loss of a loved one with our wealth. So strength in this world is of no use to us in a fight that takes a higher authority. The truth is, when we call on the power of God through His word, change will come, and swiftly. We have to be open to how God directs it, and not how we would direct the situations. All things work for our good (Romans 8:28) and so when we are faced with something, let us turn that promise into a prayer like this: Father, I thank You that all things work together for my good as I love you, and Your purpose is fulfilled in me, in Jesus' name.  When we release the power of His word over our lives and the lives of others, we know that it will not return to Him void. There is power in that alone. Use your heart and declare His promises over every area of your life. Father, we thank You that Your word says, no weapon forged against me will prosper, in Jesus' name. Stand on that, and allow the Lord to protect us with the faith in the fact that He breathed life into those words from the beginning of time itself. His word is mightier than a double edge sword (Hebrews 4:12) and can cut through any situation at any time. Do not feel powerless, feel faith in His power. I bless you all in Jesus' name. Amen.
