Moses said to the people, Dont be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again. Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.
Yahweh said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward. Exodus 14:13 WEB
Moses and the Israelite people stood on the bank of the river with the Egyptian army closing in on them. He had just finished a great faith-filled speech about fear and said that the enemy that you see today, you will never see again. Then in the following verse the Lord asked him, Why do cry to Me? Tell the people to go forward.
Sometimes we can become paralyzed waiting to know the will of God. Yes we need to pray and listen, but do we really need seven confirmations to get started? A car can only be steered while moving. A boat cannot be navigated while sitting at anchor. Often the Lord will speak to us after we start the journey, one step at a time, and if you miss Him, He will always find you because He goes after the lost.
Often in our life, we find that the word comes to correct our course just like on a cattle drive. Looking back over my life, I have often been herded through a loading chute with no door on either side, in fact, I prefer it that way because it keeps my decisions simple. Put Him first in your life and your journey begins.
As long as we are walking the correct path, it is pretty quiet. Isaiah 30:21 reads, and your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it; when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left. A word of correction comes when you turn from His path. I say that from experience.
Also you stay with the last word given until a new one comes. Things that I really felt strongly about, that did not pan out, in the end still had value if for no more than education. Dont become paralyzed by fear and anxiety because you may miss Gods will. If you are having a problem determining His will, then how do you know this is not it? That idea that keeps returning could very well be Him guiding you. It is is easier to follow the voice of God than you think. All that it takes is putting Him first in your life, then He will bring the course correction as needed.
Prayer: Father I choose to put You first in my life. I submit to Your will. Please guide me today, put me where I need to be. Help me to become the best version of myself and shine Your light on this earth, in the name of Jesus I pray.
