If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established. Isaiah 7:9 WEB.Ephraim and Aram allied and prepared to invade Judah, which terrified the people living there. When the people of Judah learned of the coming invasion, 'The hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind' (Isaiah 7:2).
The Lord sent them the prophet Isaiah, who told them not to worry, for the invasion would not happen. 'Be careful, keep calm, and don't be afraid. Do not lose heart' (Isaiah 7:4). God then told them to stand firm in their faith, or they wouldn't stand at all.
The words of this verse in the original language are a rhyme and basically mean: 'Trust or Bust.' God said that it is time for all or nothing. You are in, or you are out. Countless times God had proven His faithfulness to them, but it was as if He had to start completely over each time a new problem arose.
It is important to God and our success on Earth to believe what He tells us and learn to trust Him. His promises are no good when we refuse to believe Him. He has come through for us so many times before, but each time we face a new trial, we often fall apart and start over again in unbelief just as they did. Oh, woe is me!
There will be times when we are faced with terrible circumstances that make us want to cringe, turn back, or stop what the Lord has called us to do. This is when we should examine ourselves and see whether the Lord is calling us in a different direction or is it just our fear holding us back. After all, we always imagine the worst possible thing that could happen.
If God isn't giving us a new direction, then we stand on the last word from Him until He gives us a new one. When we have done all we can, we stand firm in our faith (Ephesians 6:13). We remind ourselves of what God has done for us in the past and build ourselves up like David. He does not need to prove His faithfulness again and again and again because we will believe Him. It is time to trust or bust. Today, stand firm in your faith no matter how dark the horizon appears.

Great devotional Pastor, God bless you both, Amen.
Thank you so much for this awesome devotion today. Your words are so true. God comes through for us all the time. He is always with us and He never leaves us but it is us that doubt him and feel like He has left us. When things happen we need to stay strong and stand our ground, pray for guidance and direction and wait on the Lord.
God Amen
Amen Lord Jesus!
