Hezekiah prospered in all his works. However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart. 2 Chronicles 32:30 WEBWhile attending classes at a school, t...

Now after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying, 'Moses my servant is dead. Fear Not from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about fear, and the importance of pressing on even though we are afraid. When God calls you to do something, often fear is the first guardian that will be sent to stop you from accomplishing it. The Apostle Paul wrote to Timo...

The Jigsaw Puzzle

  • For it is precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little. Isaiah 28:10 WEB

With little pieces of the jigsaw puzzle scattered all over the table, we began to try and assemble it. This one was seriously difficult because someone had mixed a couple of other puzzles together in the same box and there were pieces that did not belong. Fortunately we had a picture to go by, and eventually it started to take shape. When complete, it was beautiful.

God sees the bigger picture of your life. You do not. He knows the pieces that do not fit and need to be removed, and He knows what to keep. After walking with Him a while, your life will begin to take shape and when complete, it will be something beautiful.

Work with God and allow Him to separate you from the things that do not belong for He will not separate you from your friends, or the things that you want to keep around. We do have a free will to serve God, or not, just as Joshua and the Israelites (Joshua 24:!5).

Also do not get ahead of God and throw out things that He intends to keep. Work at His pace. You do not need to understand everything right now, He does, and that is enough. It is one piece at a time and one day at a time. Eventually this thousand piece puzzle will make sense.

Prayer: Father I choose You today. Help me get in tune with Your plan for my life. Guide me and help me make the right decisions. Teach me and make Your path clear in Jesus name.

Patty Martin
Patty Martin I have found true in my life that the more time we spend in reading scripture, attending church and Bible studies, and in prayer with the Father, the less I desire the things in my life that are ungodly. It takes time to weed out those things that are unpleasing to God just as it takes time to weed out a garden. Little by little, God reveals His word to us in a way that provides insight, and little by little we no longer desire the life we once led. We look forward to God leading the way and we follow Him. Although difficult at times, our trust and faith in Him proves to be a path well taken and pieces of the puzzle begin to fit.

Stacie Chambers
Stacie Chambers Wow! Where do I begin? Wow! Kind of speechless at this point. I'll just pray instead...if you don't mind. (Feel free to insert yourself in here, if you'd like. I just feel led to post this at this time.) "Lord, thank You for removing and continuing to remove the pieces that do not fit. Thank you for separating and continuing to separate me from the things that do not belong. Lord, I have resolved that I do not want anything that is not of You. I have been there, and I have done that, and it hurt! Bad!!!!!! And it still does, Lord. Thank You for delivering me from even further hurt, and for the continuous healing of that hurt. Lord, fill my life with the people and with the things that YOU want, and that You have in store for me! Fill my heart with the fruit of Your Spirit. It's a bit scary to pray all of this, Lord, ...but I ultimately trust in You, and I know that Your plan is best and supersedes anything that I could ever imagine. Please put the jigsaw puzzle pieces of my life together to Your glory. Show the world that Humpty Dumpty can be put back together again...when done in Jesus. And may it be a glorious sight indeed. And may Your glorious name be praised as a result! You are ever so worthy of all of the glory! Amen."

Angela Allard
Angela Allard First I'd like to say, I finally signed up here because every devotional I've received had just been right on target and has ministered greatly to me. It is evidently clear His Holy Spirit dwells in you. Thank you so much Pastor, for what you do. After reading today's I thought, (I really need to sign up so I can leave a great Big "Thank You" and other comments on my experiences concerning theses topics). As for this one, one thing that has shown to be the case for me and for some others I've known along the way in their close walk with God is, He does separate and sometimes removes all together, our friends and even family. Nothing is more important to Him than His will being done, our salvation. Therefore, nothing is to stand in the way of that and anything that does, is standing before His rightful position to be our primary focus, which He will remove, even if it's only for a time, He will and does. He's shown me, I can be no good to anyone or they to me if we are a constant distraction from making Him our primary focus. He's the reason for us all and sometimes we need to be reminded of this so we'll remain aware of Him being the only reason for all things, this enables Him to work more freely through us. Just  as you stated Pastor, He knows His plans for us, and what does not serve His purposes, which is His will, is of no use to Him. He's shown me that, even what is normally right or known to be good for us can become bad, or wrong for us. He's been teaching me, I have to first understand that, unless I'm in complete surrender to Him and by this fully lead by Him in everything, I can be more damaging rather than profitable for Him, and vs. Everything and everyone of us are only here because of Him, He knows His plans for everyone, not I. Yes we have a choice but that is the choice, Him or them. We don't know what's good for us, nor do we see how even the good things in life can be no good for us, even if that really is just for that time. If what we've chosen has been to truly serve Him and please Him then we'll only submit to all His ways He chooses for us because we are blind to choose what's best for us except for what's obviously of most importance and that is Him. With this choice we will trust Him or choose to daily in every move He makes and or once revealed to us, in all He commands or asks of us to do. Either way, what ever we fail to see as a distraction at first and or are not yet strong enough to work with Him in these areas, He won't hesitate to reveal them to us because this is His Him keeping us, His promises to us. So sometimes removal and separation for a time or for good is necessary to take to reveal and then teach us about this. Also, other reasons may simply be, some relationships have already fulfilled their purposes in our lives and again, our only choice is to just Trust Him, and we will choose that if we've already made the choice to be His, which ultimately was first His choice for us, or else we wouldn't have chosen Him at all. So the only choices we really have are always between two choices, which all stem from the first pair, the things that are eternal or the things that are perishable, Him or the world, and yet still, we don't really choose, because He chooses us first, just as we love Him because He loved us first and obviously I'm only speaking of children, those who've responded to His choosing of them by accepting and choosing Him back.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler Yes, make right choices!   And my desire guide me in the day,  to hear His voice and to look for Him in places I go or at my door.  A little story:  there is a little girl 8 yrs old who comes at different times.  She lives down the street.  She was hungry and asked me for something to eat.  I asked what she had today.  She said she had to get up early and go with her Dad somewhere.  No b-fast.  Near lunch someone gave her a piece of pizza.  I said what was for your supper and she had dunk chicken pieces in a dip.  That was it all.  This can be worse or a little more.  She ate as I gave her food very good. She has a cracked tooth that is to get fixed. It pains her.  Her Dad goes from one job to another not always too many hours. Pray as you might think of her.  It over whelmes me.  Thanks.
