Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water. James 3:10-12 WEB.Hot, tired, and aggravated, I pulled the starting cord on the weed eater for the forty-third time. Once again, it sputtered, ran a second, and died. After being primed, choked, and pulled until blisters had risen up and busted on my hands, the stubborn little torture device still refused to run for more than a second at a time.
As Esau did with Jacob, I comforted myself with the thought of destroying it. Thoughts ran through my mind of bending it around a nearby tree. Though entirely frustrated, I felt a tiny urge to pray, which had to be the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I certainly did not feel like praying, but I finally paused and simply said:
"Lord Jesus, please help me with this."
I took a deep breath and pulled the cord one more time. The weed eater started up and ran perfectly. I finished cutting the grass without any more problems, wishing that I had just stopped and prayed sooner.
The help that we need is just a prayer away, but so many times, we struggle on in our own strength. Be sure to involve God in your life today on every level. He cares about the little things that upset us. I have found that if it matters to you, it matters to Him.
It doesn't mean that you will never have to endure something, but it does mean you don't have to endure everything if you take the time to ask for His help. He let me fail to start the weed eater forty-three times. Yet, when I stopped and asked Him, He fixed it immediately.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for being there for me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I choose to put my trust in You. Please remind me to call on You instead of becoming frustrated today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!Note: For those participating in the Creation Photography weekly themes, here is this week's challenge from group leader, Dianna Wyles: Genesis 9:13 "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." ~ Our next fun theme 'All the Colors of March' should prove to be a colorful one. I'm really looking forward to seeing the beautiful colors of March from all around the world! That's the wonderful thing about RHM - we are a world wide community and I consider myself quite blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of spiritual beings. Thank you all for being you! As always, our themes are wide open for creative interpretation. We also encourage you to post anything else that inspires you as well. My photos this week reflect some amazing March colors as well as faith building reminders my husband and I have experienced while healing from this heart and GI intervention. Again, Thank you to all who have been keeping our family in prayer. Thank you for being that rainbow in the clouds!!! God Bless! Here is the link:

Yes, Lord, I am following Your guidance but it has been a lot of pressing in since You move me to this new place, I feel tired and tearful sometimes, I trust in You Lord and I ask You to renew me and strengthen me, so I keep moving to do what You have for me and Your Will Be Done in me.
Pastor Dion Todd I Thank you for this powerful reminder about "little things that upset us" I was up feeling heavy and upset at 3 a.m. I was about to turn off my laptop and the Devotional came in... I just let go and really cry out to The Lord about how I am feeling... and I went to bed in tears.
I am ok now The Lord comfort me
Amen
This, as many others, hits directly to me. I trust in the Lord, I know I praise and worship Him and only Him. Yet I get frustrated very easily. I "lose it", and usually I immediately ask Him for forgiveness. I recognize the test, after I have failed it. I ask God for strength, fortification and wisdom. Bless and forgive me Father, for I know I fail you daily...
Amen!
Yes, amen Lord.
Amen!
